Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

That thing will sell like hotcakes.

I find it crazy that more manufacturers don't offer a small space effective van like this....EV or otherwise.

They do ... in Europe, where vans are everywhere. The Renault Kangoo is a really popular one. But ... they're not as space-efficient as the ID Buzz. The lack of engine compartment up front allows the ID Buzz to have roughly the same interior volume as the standard-length low-roof VW Transporter, but the overall length is 200mm shorter and it has a tighter turning circle.

Looks neat too bad it is a vw maybe someone else will come out with something similar.

Are you mad at them morally or do you think it be unreliable? Canoo was doing something very similar. They have recently been spiraling though. I'm not sure if they will be vaporware.

Had a few bad experiences with them and not interested in anything they make. Maybe they are better now?

just in time for the crazy gas prices. already missing the truck so first thing is a hitch to pull my trailer.

Congrats killvino, I anticipate Tesla dealers will find themselves much busier in the next few months, they are the only ones that still do it best...

Just checked....a Model 3 would be close to $650/month with 20k down...not for my pocketbook. How the eff do people afford this stuff.

Oh wait...it's that cheap HELOC that could pay for it and it would cost only $400/month in interest.

$400 a month in interest? M3 is 250K?

No....If I had access to a full 200k my monthly carrying costs of interest alone would be $370-400.

Take out only 70k and it's $200 or so...hell maybe my wife will let me tap into that for fun! 'But honey....I'm saving money on gas!'

Beat me to the Honda/Sony

In December, the company retrofitted a Tesla Model S, called the Gemini 001, with the battery for real-world road testing to show what it could do.

A 752-mile road trip at an average speed of 55-mph (88.51 km/h) followed, with the company also handing over the Gemini 001 to a third party for further testing where it actually ran for 882 miles (1,419 km/h). It's not clear what effect this larger battery pack would have on other aspects of the Model S performance (or what such a vehicle would cost), but the achievement is an impressive one.
