Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Got the car, got the cheque, gave them **** for the horrible tint job. Uneven cuts, bubbling all around and had to rewrite the contract that they’re replacing it next week.

I went through 3 shops before I found a place I was happy with, for tints:
Steven was very accommodating of my demands - highly recommend, he is not the cheapest but the best in terms of end result and customer service.

Hopefully the dealership uses a good quality film and do it right without damaging the glass.

2022 HummerEV #001 was auctioned off at Barrett Jackson for $2,500,000. This world has gone nuts!

The proceeds went to a charity. How much of that 2.5 get's written off?

All of the gains in efficiency that powertrain engineers have made over the last three or four decades - and they have gained a lot - have been thrown away by people buying ever bigger and heavier trucks and SUVs. Why should that trend stop now?

One of the neighbours has an RSQ8. It sounds great but a 600hp suv has fuel efficiency at the bottom of the list. I'm actually surprised he hasn't got one of the etron variants yet.

Yes it's did. But it's still an electric brick.
Made in America, bigger bigger bigger. Lol.

And most of them have never hauled anything in their lives to need that size of truck.

Probably complains endlessly about the price of gas as well?

if people were truly worried about "efficiency" we wouldn't see F150s in every driveway...
If I even needed an F150 a few times a month I’d have one in my driveway. Unfortunately I do not.

Hoping my neighbour sells his 1980s or 90s Chevy truck though as I could probably pick it up for next to nothing.

Would be great for the occasional drywall or soil run.

As soon as we sold our 5th wheel and my huge 4 horse head to head horse trailer I couldn't wait to get rid of the huge pickup. I no longer needed it and quickly got tired of ~15L/100KM (at ~$1.20/L for diesel at the time) and a 21' long truck with huge dually fenders as a daily driver.

Take this at face value, but apparently its confirmed (not an April fools joke)

Volkswagen will change name to Voltswagen to highlight its switch to electrics.

Hope GM doesn't mind..... thought they owned the Volt name.

Sounds like it’s only on the electric cars....and the ICE keep the traditional VW. Depending on how long they continue on with ICE vehicle manufacturing.

Just spotted a GVBW plate at GM here in Oshawa. Looks like we’ll be on to GVC soon.

now this...... I can get behind.

The build quality and engineering of a Toyota married to a Tesla power train? SIGN ME UP.....

That should be great. I doubt it will happen with Musk at the helm. He can't let anyone else have input or share credit. I have long thought that Tesla should have sold their drivetrain to everybody else. It's hard for manufacturers to justify spending a fortune on R&D when a solid and reasonably priced solution is readily available.
