Another Mike Holmes Stinker (Meaford)

My facebook photo is approaching 20 years old. I may update at that point. They don't need a constant stream of photos to use for evil.

EDIT:
For hilarious agent pics, I like this guy. He used this pic on his business cards across multiple companies.

wow...at least he's consistent.

Sister ran into Sam McDaddi a handful of times last week shockingly. Said he looks exactly like in his photo...just his skin is more shiny.

was it an old 60s house?
Based on the main fuse panel vintage, the types of wires and the type/style of house early 80s, or most likely 70s (or maybe late 60s). Old "cloth" NMD60 (the telltale for me) coming out of the main panel mixed with some BX and lots of NMD90 (white/yellow) in the mix (added later), a couple small sub panels, one fuse with a knife switch and one small newish breaker sub I could see. I do not see any K&T. IME bare copper ground may just be to the nearest water pipe and not always to before the water meter like now (there were no water meters when these were built, metal pipe and done). Maybe it was not there mabye it was but it was not what they were calling the gorund...

I tried to get a screen grab but the streaming apps are on to that (comes up blank). No ifs, ands or buts electrician is holding a length of 14/2 Romex (white sheath) with the hot and neutral maretted together and calling it the cut ground for the service....

many old houses did actually use the cloth style romex as a "ground". what they would do, is strip the black and white, then take the ground wire, and twist them all together at both ends to mimic a #8 bare wire, , and "ground" it at the nearest water pipe.

I suspect this was the case here.

Nope, the wire they were holding and said was the main ground was "modern" white jacket PVC Romex (NMD90).... not the cloth NMD60 that was there (none of those were cut...). One of those could have been ground in your noted context but....

My guess what they "thought" (said) was ground was an abandoned branch circuit that was cut and the hot and neutral tied together on the panel side to prevent it being energized, the other end of the cut Romex was right there beside it. As noted, modern white PVC jacket NMSC not cloth.

It was about the half way point in the show....

I've met Mike and his son MikeJr on numerous occasions and he's a good guy . He's fun to be around . He is (was) a decent contractor but like most of those guys , his marketing and sales team took him in a lot of directions. Most of them not so good , the building of false drama into the shows , and branding his name on everything from mittens to goats milk . I'd be surpirised if he even knew what he was 'involved ' in at this point.
The world is full of nice guys that are fun to be around but if there is a dollar involved that veneer is quickly stripped away.

Had to Google him. Those are some SERIOUS eyebrows. They would work a room.

If I ever get to the point in my life where I ask a surgeon to do that to my face, (due to either money/wealth or drugs) please put a ***** through my head. You have my permission.

Those eyebrows are fairly common (obviously not as pronounced) in the Polish female community…

I know my cousin goes to Poland to get hers done. It’s something like a tattoo or similar. I think it looks ridiculous…but to each their own.

Face modification are whole different subject.

I have a feeling some of us would be banned from here if we explored that topic a little deeper.

Tattooed eyes, surgically made scars on his face, and millions upon millions of dollars made off idiot youth in Poland and the UK…

Print screen on kb then paste into MS paint.

Or snippet tool in windows.

One should work.

Probably microblading. Helps thicken and extend eyebrows, common choice for people with naturally thin eyebrows.

Yes it’s tattooish.

I didn't particularity mean males.
But defending that term these days is also a touchy subject.

Having said that
WHO the F is that.
