Android Boxs - whose got 1?

I like UK Turk too...just because he has a great selection of Brit stuff. Also Phoenix is pretty good for things too.

I've been re-watching the whole Minder series on UK Turks. I was on a roll with streets of san franscisco, it was always aired late at night on ITV when i was kid, but the streams must have gone down.

i keep thinking i posted this but cant find it...

what add on package do you guys use?
im running TVADDONS.ag

A while back I watched "Mind your language" on UK Turk. Total blast from the past.

I have tried all kinds of android boxes and nothing comes close to IPTV. I have tried the expensive ones, where I was supposed to get support afterwards (didnt need it). I dont like Kodi because I have to go through 10 links before I find a stream that works or is good quality. I tried chromecast, mygica, ms8, etc... I now use an avov box which gives me the best of both worlds. I pay $15/month for the IPTV part of it which in comparison to the $120 I was paying Rogers is peanuts. I get all kinds of channels. Including CP24 and all other canadian channels. As well as HBO, showtime etc... Sports? Forget about it. I get tons. The $15 service also comes with a video on demand service that has the best quality available and tv shows as well. In my experience IPTV comes the closest to having instant access to live television. The quality although the channels say they are HD. most are just 720p which is considered HD, still good quality. The only thing I recomment is unlimited internet and high speed. I use the Rogers Ignite 100. $67 all in.

anyways, my 2 cents.

Same here - I subscribe to a VPN service, torrent like crazy for most stuff I care about, but sometimes nothing beats channel surfing - and that's what I love about these grey market IPTV providers, it's like the golden days of satellite piracy with access to hundreds if not thousands of live tv channels!!

Who do you use? Like I posted earlier I'm subscribed to REUSTV.NET and am pretty happy, but would like to get a MAG 254 box for a 2nd TV and am trying to decide which provider I should use for my 2nd subscription - a bit of redundancy! I'm leaning towards IPTVExpress atm but am also hearing good things about crown and voodoo.

I use CrownTV and I use IP Guys. Both of them are pretty reliable. I use an Avov TVOnline 4 becuase it allows me to install Kodi. But I also have a MAG254W. I like the MAG better.

It seems like a good choice, my only concern would be will they one day just stop supporting it? This is what I hear about a lot of IPTV services, they sell you the subscription and out of the blue they stop servicing it.

That is definitely a valid concern, but for $12 per month with no commitment it's worth the risk to most people. After 2 months with my provider I was so happy I ended up buying a year's worth of service to save $$$ (turns into $8/month), but we'll see if I'm still happy half a year from now.

I've heard good things about this reseller, which provides crown, express or voodoo at $12/month no commitment ---> https://www.iptvplanet.ca/

someone educate me please....

what is difference from using Kodi and Pulse put on it, as opposed to using IPTV ?

I can use a tablet install Kodi on it and then Pulse, I get most of what I want, which is mainly movies

I can use M8 box that has Android on it, then Kodi, then Pulse, and again I get more or less what I want

so what benefit does subscribing to an IPTV provider get me ?

is it just a secure server that is going to be used ? and it should be up and running all the time ?

just trying to figure out what the 12 bucks a month gets me, as opposed to paying nothing

?

My understanding it is pretty much what you have but you buy a box already setup and somehow the links point to a website that keeps the box updated.
You do not get dead links. You pay them to keep things tidy and easy for you.

BUT as you see in Pulse they already set it up to start playing the movie from the best provider and quality so you do not have to pick working streams.
You can set this feature with other builds but this is turned on by default in Pulse. This is good for Joe Bass types, older people, and kids...click and go.

ALSO, I just remembered this point. I suggest you PLUG in your boxes if you can. Plug your box with a Cat5 (network cable) instead of streaming.
Most of you at BEST is getting 300mb (megabits) over wifi, a lot of you are only connecting less than 100 on wifi BUT with network cable then you are getting at least 100MB (megabytes) 3x the speed and likely your newer cable modems (from Bell Rogers) do 1000GB (Gigabytes).

Hidef movies 720p and CERTAINLY 4k movies you want that speed if not you get lag.
A lot of ppl are getting choppy movies and lag because their wifi is slow.
Google how to check your wifi speed/connection in windows...not doing a speed test from a website...you have to check your network settings.

TLDR - plug your boxes into your cable modem or home router directly using a network cable. You will be streaming at max speed.
Go to dollar store or computer store and get a network cable for $2-4 for 6ft cable. Cat5e cable is fine.

Live tv guide, hundreds of live channels, works like a "real" tv service. They've been doing it like this in Europe for years.

ahhh that too
I thought the benefit of Kodi is that you watch shows when you want and not limited to when they are on tv.
I guess as the poster mentioned, you can set the PVR feature.

@NFQ did they get Kodi setup again for live tv for Canada/US? I forgot the one we had and it "died".

so pay 12 bucks for someone else to do all the work and ensure I get what I want, or pay nothing and I do the work....

Thanks for the education....

Cheers

not everyone is savvy or they give the box to older parents etc...
but, pretty much what you stated, lol

That's another thing I forgot to mention about Pulse is the out of the box setup and that immediate play feature.

btw- check the android store or pm me your email
there is a cool app Kodi Configuration, makes it super easy to install on Android devices (including the android boxes).
2 clicks and you are done, Kodi and Pulse (whatever build you want)
I wish they had it for pc.

I'm a little confused, there seems to be quite a few iptv add ons in Kodi right? FilmOn etc. I watch live BBC news all the time. What's the advantage of a paid iptv service? Higher quality streams? Do you have to have a separate box for the paid service or can you enable it on an android Kodi box player?

Something like that. There is a more classic feel to the mag boxes. Ease of use and "it just works"

I've also not been able to replicate the live features on a Kodi setup the way an IPTV service does. If anyone has suggestions that be nice.
