2024 Day Trips

Turned out to be a better day then I thought it would be for riding. After photo tag I ended up in Coboconk.
Had a nice burger at a family restaurant, which I think has been there forever, Ryan's burgers.

I would have liked to have gone further north but there was too much traffic heading that way, went home instead to cool down.

Great day for a ride. Went to the Barrie Farmers Market then got a few mural shots and then stopped by a farm stand for some veggies. Thought I’d try the photo tag as it looked like it was east but couldn’t get the picture to load.

Not the best day for a ride…but a good day nonetheless. About 200km riding my favourite local loop around Hockley, Mono and Orangeville with a jaunt across FOTC.

Cold hands, thankfully the Heated Grips work well.

My current bike and my old CBR250R.

Yesterday was a perfect day for a ride.

After a quick Photo Tag, headed off to Big Chute.

Quick stop at Washago to figure out where I needed to go

Stopped in at this kookey place, was hoping to get a sticker, no one around! Headed off to Burk Falls

I hit up parts of 169, 38, 141, 124, 520. Did some HWY 11 just for convenience.

Retired I assume?

The aquatic railroad never gets old. Such a crazy way to do something.

Went for a short ride to check out how the new rear shock feels.
Been a while since I rode the Ancaster, Dundas and Waterdown backroads - they were quite nice!

Guy who runs Screaming Heads is a great guy. After viewing the place we asked if there was somewhere nearby to camp. He let us set up tents in the back area and even loaded us up with firewood for the bonfire.

I chatted with him last time I was up there.
He would have been great to have around that bonfire.

Holy moly, Shane you went west in Ontario, rare. Dundas/Ancaster is a nice spot though. (y)
Rare indeed!
One of these days I need to do a ride towards Niagara region and stitch together as many twisty bits between Burlington there and see how fun it is.
