2010 Suzuki GSXR-600

What's wrong with Gixxers? All Japanese supersports are the same, other than design. They are all great bikes.

Some people are just so insecure, they have to trash other makes to make themselves feel better.

Ive always said this, all the Japanese SS bikes are virtually the same, it all comes down to personal taste.

9K for a gixxer is a great price. You are getting a brand new bike and though you will probably put in a few more thousand for mods it is still excellent value for the money.

I feel sorry for anyone tring to sell a used 600 cc sportbike. The resale market is taking a sh_tkicking.

Believe me. I also just bought a ZX6R new for 9k OTD. Than you run to the sales section or some sale site and find guys trying to sell 01 or 05's for almost the same price. CND bikes are finally starting to catchup to the US sales market. Infact, if you find a bike now in the US (6,000US - not including the fee's/paper work etc), its literally useless now as you'll get a brand new one here when the times right. That 6000 + Currency exchange + Gas/Travel + 13% tax on the bike + other BS here and there would turn that 6000 to most likely 9. AND you arent getting any CND warranty on that sucker also.

Seen some dudes trying to sell an 08 ZX6R at places for like 8k, its like dream on son - users gona be forced to pay 13% tax on it after the sale + you got a used bike + it has probably a few km's ranging from 1500 to 9000 (pretty nasty if its close to 9 since it'll need basic servicing sooner down the road for the buyer). My bike was 8k new, ended up at 9 with the BS tax and all.

So yeah, used market is def getting raided.. I think the people need to start looking at the US used price market before pricing their bikes.. Im sure most people dont mind blowing away 2k more for the latest model + fresh off the boat bike than the used counter-partner.

What's wrong with the Gixxer 750 - 06? why did you skip that one

I've been looking for a new bike so I decided to call up Brampton Suzuki to find out about their promotions. 0% and deferred payments was definitely only on cars (kinda figured).

They are however offering 2010 GSXR-600's for $7999 + tax

Quite a deal, the only kink in the plan is the colour. I thought they still had the Black or Black/Red colour scheme. 2010 Only comes in blue/Silver and Blue.

So the colour is a huge turnoff :(

are you joking?

If you don't like the colour, you don't like the colour.

But where did you buy your ZX6 for 9K OTD?

I was thinking of waiting until March.... Maybe get a CBR at that time. I absolutely love the look of the exhaust and the pain scheme.

I got it from Classic Honda, and HunGJaI who's also on this site got it for almost that price from Snow City.

I'm sure you can find a CBR for the same price..? But the gixxer is nicer in my opinion.

Great idea!!! you can find an 03 on kijiji with 40k + kms on it for the same price as that '10 gixxer....now thats a deal

Did you have to haggle for the ZX6R pricing? What colour, and is there any preferential treatment for a cash only deal? Was it on the lot or was it ordered? Sorry for all the questions.

Well, the 06 and 07 are identical, I just happened to find a very clean 07, which was stolen 3 days ago :( I need to update my sig

Most likely pickup an 09-10 next season :)

Quick question, does anyone have an idea as to why they are so cheap? My brother is looking into purchasing one possibly sometime this week. Curious as to know what it has toward the other 600 ss? Is it a slug? Somebody have some answers? Thnx.

dealers sell them cheap here, in comparison to the other brands. If private sellers dont price their used gixxers accordingly to their new counterparts, no one is gonna wanna buy used.

There is nothing wrong with them.

They are not cheap, they are priced reasonably, it's most other manufacturers that are overpriced.

I think $9000 OTD is fair for a 600. Having said that, i still think bikes are way overpriced. i don't think supersports should be approaching $15000. As for these used bike sellers, i don't know. Most seem to think their bikes actually appreciate with time. Based on the prices am seeing on the used market, might as well pay extra to get something new.

Note to 250 owners. Used 250's no matter how mint are not worth $4000

I beg to differ. I got my 08 red 250r for 3900 with 6k on it. Rode it for 2 months and was tired of it and sold it off for 4000.

If someone's willing to pay, then it is worth the price. U just got to be lucky with the buyer, or adamant on the asking price.
