I'd like to buy at LEAST ONE bike NEW in my life, depreciation considered. I'd still buy the B-king though ;)

Who did you speak to? Is this there regular OTD price or did you have to negotiate this for this price?

I spoke to Jayson, I believe, over email. It was not negotiated at all; this was the figure he gave me immediately.

its 7999.99+tax. the guy at suzuki of brampton was not willing to negotiate at all. I had the deposit in my hand, still. so i walked away.

why so?

Did they ask you to pay the PDI on top of the $7,999 plus taxes as well? SOB charges $750 on PDI usually.

Umm.. 9grand for a 2010 is a great deal, way to "walk away" if you can find better deal then that I will be impressed, even tho it is a gixxer .

9K for a gixxer is a great price. You are getting a brand new bike and though you will probably put in a few more thousand for mods it is still excellent value for the money.

I feel sorry for anyone tring to sell a used 600 cc sportbike. The resale market is taking a sh_tkicking.

OTD pricing is the only price that matters... if you can get if for $7999 plus tax, you win... if they tack on anything extra, you lose.

Come to think about it... if you buy new, you lose every time, regardless of the deal you think you've scored.

Are you saying this because of the resale market? Could I please ask you to further clarify this? I am looking to buy a bike and would appreciate your insight on this matter. Thanks.

Gixxers.. no comment.
