2010 Suzuki GSXR-600

i ended up getting the blue/silver, i actually really like the color (white i like but the way they painted it i dont like). That price is better than getting a used one for 500$ less. Just get new fairings ;)

i just need to go pick it up, the weather and I are on speaking terms now

Just so you know, based on the motor vehicle dealers act, a dealer has to advertise the selling price before hat and licensing. A dealer cannot advertise one price and then ask for fees on top. You can read up on the motor vehicle dealers act on www.omvic.on.ca. If a dealer hides things from you in the beginning .....

If the vehicle being sold is as is/unfit, which would have to be stated in the ad... then the dealer may include the option for certification for an X amount of $$. It could be 100 or 1000, It doesn't matter as long as it's disclosed.
Under OMVIC regulations you are not to be charged Administration Fees.

i know it sounds doubtful and i probably wouldn't believe it either, but that is the only reason why i bought it in the first place. i was really thinking about paying a bit more for a used CBR but then i called and the guy said 7000+. So i went there, told him i had cash and he said 7400 (just around there) and i said **** yea ill take it! I realize it doesn't seem believable but i have no reason to lie? lol

The only way I see you paying $400 for taxes is if the salesman put a lower price on the bill of sale than what he actually sold you the bike for.
Seeing as how it's a new car/motorcycle dealership, I highly doubt that they would take such a risk.

13% HST on $3500 is $455
you gave him $7400 cash but on the bill of sale it would be $3500 + HST
So he got his $7000, and you only paid $455 for taxes.
But again, seeing as how big of a company they are, I highly doubt that the salesman would take that risk...

We were discussing a new motorcycle. So it does not require a safety to license. A new vehicle dealer cannot sell a new vehicle or motorcycle as is. Plus all the adds do not state the as is discolsure. If a dealer advertises a vehicle as is, and the customer requests the vehicle to be safetied, then the dealer must disclose the exact cost for each item required to safety the vehicle on the bill of sale and can only charge the cost the mechanic has charged for doing the work and the parts required. There is no such thing as a 100 dollar safety. The safety cost must match the mechanics invoice.

Maybe it's different on a brand new vehicle...
I sell used cars and have had OMVIC representatives come to my lot and look over my bills of sales.
We have an inventory of about 100 cars and we average about 40 cars a month...
We advertise our cars as is, however most of them are sold certified and not 1 bill of sale was there a break-down of the safety (repairs/costs)...
and nothing was ever mentioned by OMVIC over it...

We charge a flat-rate for certification ($495) if the repairs exceed that, the client is not paying a penny more, we take full responsibility and we also warranty the vehicle for 36 days on all safety items

I am only stating how the law reads. If OMVIC feels that you are conforming to the rules then that is perfect. I am not saying you are doing anything wrong. The thing that I am saying which actually helps you is that new car dealers are not being held up to the same rules that you as a used dealer is required to do. They advertise new vehicles without adding all the fee's. And these are new vehicles so they all come safetied. If a new car dealer advertised their car for what they will actually sell it for, then a used car dealer will not have to try to explain that to every custome.

strike a deal with them, and if the price works for you that's great! sign the paperwork then wait :)

i was talking with tom (i believe) and asked him if he can do any better on the price he gave me and he did. I told him i got owned by a car i bought.... i bought a car in sept and it turned out to be a lemon (took it to the dealer 6 times from sept - dec for stupid reasons which i shouldn't have) so i sold it but lost cashmonies. (the car wasn't suppose to be a P.O.S it was an 07 A4)

also let me know when your going to pick it up i'll be there next week ahaha :o

I also picked-up a GSXR 600 last year from SON - when they had it for $7995.
Needless to say, I will not be taking my bike there for Service - got quoted $300 for 1k KM service vs. $190 from Snow City...

Sounds like there will be a lot of L0 GSXR 600 this season...If anyone is interested to go for a ride, send me a PM - I'm in Richmond Hill...in the Oak Ridges.

Non-gsxr's are welcome of course :)

I just bought my 2010 Suzuki GSXR600 from Suzuki of Brampton. I paid 10 out the door + they threw in: solo cowl and frame sliders (if they can find frame sliders for me). Picking it up this Sat. hoping for some good weather!

I'm sure there are a lot of us who were planning on buying a used sportbike and couldn't resist Suzuki's offers. I'd like to see a ride happen. All the bikes would look the same and we'd spend a half hour trying to find our bikes!

LoL good point. I grabbed the Blue/Silver paint hopefully everyone else got the traditional white/blue. :S

If anyone is tempted by the prices at Suzuki of Brampton, go see Tom he will hook you up tell him Dan sent you and he'll try to throw in some accessories for you.

Any idea if they will be running a similar deal for 2011's come October?

Or does anyone know if any dealer still has the 2010's at these prices?

Suzuki of Brampton doesn't exist anymore. The Suzuki, Honda motorcycle dealerships at the brampton automall merged and now also sell Yami bikes as well. Its Brampton powersports or something like that. They are just a little further down on Van Kirk, but I don't know how they wheel and deal since the move. SOB was known for blowing bikes out below msrp, the Honda dealership never budged on price.

Just checked out the 'new' site. Their internet price for the 600 is a lot higher than some other dealers I've seen. I guess I'll just have to wait and see where the market for these bikes goes towards the end of the summer...hopefully history will repeat itself.

Suzuki is best and popular company for motor cycles. Suzuki GSXR 600 is best and very attractive bike as well as Its have more powerful engine, Dual Throttle Valve system, S-DMS engine management system, fuel-injected 599cc, four-stroke and so on.
