Bought my first bike before I had a License, rode it home from the dealership, rode around T.O. for a couple of weeks and then went for my M License at the Keel and 401 test center.
I was lucky never to have been pull over by the police. - that was a number of years ago. LOL
It was a great day for a ride! Weather was perfect and route great!
Had lots of fun! On the way home went through the Forks, also rode down 6th line to Dundas.
Thank's for posting!
Agreed, as shown in the attached link the road is excellent for riding. I also enjoy riding north on Appleby line past rattlesnake point.
Ceder springs road is also a lots of fun.
Also, have a 2010 GS500F and found it exceeded my expectations. Too bad 2010 was it's last year. Wonder what Suzuki will replace it with?
QUOTE=jcarboni;1702873]I have the GS500F and I love it .
Cheap on insurance
Last season, I just put fuel stab in my GS500 let it run for about 10 min. No problems starting it up.
Used fuel stab on my 15 year old gas mover and weed wipper. After sitting for 5 months starts up no problems.
Also important in starting up you bike in the spring is keeping your battery...
I much perfer my GS500F with the Fairing over my Naked CB400T. For me, once I owned a faired bike, I will never want to go naked again.
Also, the handle bar position is quiet confortable. Easily ride for 2 hours without needing to stop for a break.
Agreed, not requiring a license and insurance is a big plus. With goverment looking for more revenue that can all change.Only time will tell!
They might even tax cyclists.
Great day for riding to work today, at 7 am road was clear and the wind not a problem. Glad I left at 3 p.m. just before it started to spit rain.
Since the weather is getting near freezing I pluged my bike in the battery tender jr. that I picked up at the december bike show.
Hope tomorrow will...
I often cycle to work and have no problem passing the ebikes. Cyclist can exceed the ebike top speed going 30km (faster going down hill) and not need to worry about battery dying. Unless a person has health issues or physical limitations - I really don't see the point of having a e bike. It...
You might want to sit on them both to find out which fits you better. I rode both and prefered the riding position of the GS500F. Did a few 650km day rides on mind with no problem. Also, last year SON sold new 2010 GS500F for $3999 plus HST. I picked on up and really enjoyed it. You might want...
Left work at 8:30 p.m. no rain but wind gusts, with snow forcasted tomorrow, I hope the weather man is full of crap and I can ride tomorrow.
Only time will tell. LOL!
Hey,
I am considering to upgrade from my GS500 inorder to do more long distance touring and wondering what bike you ride.
Most I have ridden in a day on it was around Prince Edward county and back. approx 650km's
Thanks,
For optimum power on my 2010 GS500F I use Ultra 94 gas and Mobile 10w - 40 synth0tic oil. I notice on mine the power comes on strong between 6K and 10tK. I like to shift at around 7500k. I do not notice much buzz on my bike with 8500K on it.
Also, test road both the SV650 and FZ8 and perfered...
Rode to the show on my bike today via the QEW and Parked in the reserved motorcycle parking. :) Stop by the GTA booth and spoke to the folks there.
Great way to spend the afternoon!
Also Enjoyed the ride ride along lakeshore back to Oakville. (QEW seem backed up)
Hope I will also be able to...
Since we have no show or ice on the ground in Oakville I am still riding to work just about every day. Switched to 10W-40 synthetic motor oil and found that the GS500F starts up right away and warms up faster then dino oil. Planning to ride down to see the Motorcycle Show tomorrow afternoon. It...
Re: City council voting on getting rid of free parking for motorcycles today
What a waste of energy trying to have us pay for parking our motorcycles in Toronto!
