Weather man is full of crap!

Turned on breakfast tv today to hear Frankie Flowers saying high between 11 and 14 with rain in the morning but clearing and sunny by the afternoon so i figured sweet! no longjohns today!

So it was a little drizzly on the ride in at 8am, and it was mild in the early afternoon and the sun was out at around 2pm but it only lasted around 10 minutes. By 3pm it was pouring out far more than in the morning, so his weather report was backwards. Got totally soakered on the ride home, but oh well, still riding well past what i thought would be the cutoff this winter. Saw a lot of bikes out yesterday, and maybe 4 or 5 today as well. If you rode in today and are still at work reading this bundle up and ride safe there are some strong wind gusts and quite a bit of water on the roads right now as of 3pm

It was raining most of the day, but the sun has popped out now. Going out for cheap wings and a pint this eve, temperatures are supposed to stay above zero till 3 am so should be good. Would be nice to have some snow for Christmas, as much as love I riding, I do enjoy winter to, and if its going to be cold, then lets have a proper winter.

Weather reports are always full of crap.

As soon as i finished typing my rant above i looked out the window and see it's sunny and cleared off again.. so it looks like i chose the wrong time to ride home, had i waited 10 more minutes it would have been clear. dammit! lol

Lookin out my window, westward from Etobicoke right now....clear skies and sun. That being said the sun will be down in 1 hour and the water wont dry in time. But all the bad clouds look to be heading East and quite fast!

There have been some freaky clouds rolling past my window all day. Sunny one minute and black clouds the next. They're all moving very quickly though.

these weather people should be finned every time they get it wrong, then maybe, just maybe, we could enjoy our seasonal sports alot better.

Even better is this one as you can animate it and get a sense of what is coming and when:

Yeah i use that one all the time. Problem is it's only showing the past, so you can kind of guess the direction of things, but often times even if it looks like it's heading a certain way things break up, or suddenly appear that can't be seen on the radar. It's still a guessing game. It is good in the summer during large thunderstorms though to see when there will be a break in the clouds.

Rain doesn't bother me but I was able to tell that when I left work at 5 pm that it wouldn't be raining.

Left work at 8:30 p.m. no rain but wind gusts, with snow forcasted tomorrow, I hope the weather man is full of crap and I can ride tomorrow.
Only time will tell. LOL!

I use a very simple weather app and after that look out the window. If it rains, well, thats what rain gear is for. Was a wet night yesterday when out for a ride to the Queens Tavern in Ayr. Slick roads again made reminded me why I don't like my knobbies.

Don't trust them, last summer we had a big ugly thunder storm with a lot of rain. In the morning I went on internet to see how bad it was. Apparently we had a cloud free sky, no rain, no wind, no nothing. They can't tell you the past, don't expect them to tell you the future.
