Divide that by 10 since at least 90% of the content is gone (more like 98% if you consider only content worth keeping). Selling the bare domain will probably fetch more money, but not by much.
I honestly don't care if this site is worth $300M or 2 cents.
If all the MIA posts were worth keeping, shouldn't they be worth repeating?

No, not really. I'm quite disappointed, that's all. Just like discussions about deities, this exercise revealed a lot of arrogance, irrationality, shallowness and indifference. I am being constantly reminded that it's a cross section of our society, or at least this community.

This isn't a hard thing to grasp here. I mean I'm pleased to see that people don't like the fact that some posts are gone but in the end it's Paul's house. It's up to him to make the call. not about us or the community. it's a privately owned site, you don't like it? Hit the street and go start yours. Paul doesn't ASK for money, people donate it and half of them do just to go swear in the TT. Vendors if they have enough or dont make squat for being here will pull out and that's their decision to be made. Good on him for being able to collect to pay for having this place up in the first place.
This is the equivalent of going to a friends house and your angry cause he reset the high scores on the street fighter game.
If Paul decides to close the place tomorrow cause he feels like it he can! if he decides to make the whole place Pink and change our fonts to flowers he can!
What ever was important in the past that is so desperately required, it will come back and we can always find it.
Get over it or just plain stop coming, it's that simple.

I'm not that upset about the delete. Its restorable as well. But what I think should have happened was Paul ask the community to help pay for more BW/storage or at least have a vote.

I can't counter irrational arguments but with logic. Find one point in my analogy that is not relevant and shouldn't apply to GTAM and we can talk. None applies? Only an irrational person can claim something like that or worse, try to enforce it as a modus operandi. This is not a religious forum where abandoning all reason and logic is a basic requirement.

You gotta read this thread more carefully. I have never denied any rights the powers that be gave to them self nor claimed I have any specific rights here. I can only call it like I see it, for better or for worse. The board will go in the direction it's owners steer it toward, even if it's against common sense and counter to the interest of the community that the board wouldn't exist without.
