Words people mispronounce or misuse that drive me bonkers

English is my 3rd language and it has the most effed up pronunciation ever.

SALMON - SA-MON. My frenchy friends all make the same mistake of pronouncing sALmon.
PLAID - PLAD
SEW - SOW
IRON - I-ERN

I pronounce words as they are spelt.

And when I first moved to Toronto, someone was telling me to get off on YOUNG street. I was trying to figure out on the map where the hell YOUNG street was!

And I still say ETOBICOKE. As it is spelt.

Especially that second one, because it should be "2 wat r u reefring?"

Oh I just read one on another post: "i got off scotch free." sounds like a bad thing to me.

I cringe when telemarketers use a prefix and my first name.
Example

"Hello Mr. John".

Either say "Mr. John Doe" or just say John. Even better.. don't call!

My Boss is guilty of ' for all intensive purposes'.....and my coworker frequently uses 'pacifically'

Gotta love our team meetings :)

"Ex-presso"

You filthy heathens - it's ESPRESSO...

I have a question.

Is it "...under any circumstances" or "....under any circumstance"?

To use the plural form I would use "all circumstances" but I'm not sure if the above is wrong.
