Also I find Canadians in general are terrible at this basic level of service, unless it's a corp policy, and it comes off as fake niceness. Americans and other parts of the world are much better at basic interaction kindness and manners.

It's not a Canadian thing. It's a big city thing.

They're cold in the big cities in the US as well, but small town rural America? You'll meet the most friendliest people there. Same as any village or small town anywhere around the world.

Sorry man, I thought a forum was for discussion.

Jampy,

I was speaking in the theoretical
nothing specific to you or me or anyone on this forum
my quoting your post had little to do with my thinking and commentary

really, we don't need to go on about this
my way of abstract theoretical posting has at times been a problem here (wa-hey!)
I have zero problem with you, don't take it personally, okay?

I mostly agree except for service jobs. American waiters/waitresses seem genuinely much more interested in their patrons than similar restaurants in similar sized urban centers in canada.

sh1tty wages and high tipping culture make the cynic in me suspect self interest
but it is nice how they keep the ice tea coming, I'll tip for that !

No offence taken, it is a forum. I am engaging in conversation, perhaps my reply to you was interpreted differently from its intent.
Now, let's hug and continue the conversation. :)

I swear every one of those American waitresses are cut from the same cloth: a bit older, gravelly 2-pack a day voice, puts her hand on your shoulder all the time and calls you "Shugah" or "Hun".

Works though. I always tip "Flo" or "Barb" or "Judy" well...

alright lets get this thread back on point, why do harley guys get so butthurt?

For the last 8 weeks i have exchanged 6 emails with a HD salesman. Each time it has taken about a week to get a reply.
This morning i sent an email asking for a return of my $2000 deposit.i got a reply less than 5 min later.
No hard feelings. I still like the Pan Am.I might have waited for a 2022 if things had been handled more professionally.

Then why are you here? HEY-OH!! :ROFLMAO:

I enjoy the F9 videos. Regardless of content, i find the production quality very good. Favorite so far was the Nikken

But yes, i don't see them reviewing many new bikes. As someone mentioned elsewhere, F9 is hiring on the video side, so maybe there are reviews lined up.

That is a shame to hear, I know you really liked the HD. The sad reality is, it is a sellers market (now) so a sale lost is easily replaced with a new buyer. Not to say that is the right attitude at all, but I am sure HD is not the only company handling things this way. I know for our IT dept at work phones, laptops and PC's are tough to get and the attitude from our vendors is pretty piss poor..

Same as with most other fanboy driven brands. Bring up stats or facts and they lose their crap and say you just don't understand. Jeep, tesla, mopar, apple, their groupies all function similarly. By avoiding the rabid fanbase, most other bike brands don't have nearly the derision as their buyers are happy enough to switch to a different brand. For the vast majority of harley riders, it's HD or nothing.

curious how long that maintains if they revamp their entire lineup to a more modern image. i suspect some of the long time models will stay mostly the same to placate the masses, but it has to be coming...

That's crazy, good for you!
You can always leave a Google review sharing you experience, HD also has a feedback form you can submit to them.
