Why do so many ghetto people smoke?

I have a boner

Kellen said why is it that more ghetto people smoke? You got in his face for calling all smokers ghetto. If you can't see the difference, I really can't help you. I could try typing it out slower, but I don't see it changing the outcome.

I can tell you that boasting that I'm smart on the internet isn't one of them.

The normally reserved crowd is going wild...... for this young Cinderella who's come out of nowhere. He's got about 350 yards left, he's going to hit about a 5-iron, it looks like, don't you think? He's got a beautiful backswing... that's- oh, he got all of that one! He's gotta be pleased with that!

Really? For one thing, Kellen did not substantiate his 'finding'. Second, it's quite easy to make an inference to what Kellen is saying, 'between the lines' so to speak, with his statement regarding smoking and ghetto.

It seems to me that you and Kellen are lacking in the self-esteem department necessitating your need to bash the vices of others to prop yourselves up. Feel better now? And what's your vice, btw? Drinking? Smoking pot? Never getting enough sleep? Eating poorly? Not getting enough exercise? Everyone has a vice. The problem emerges in what society views as acceptable and unacceptable in vices.

The answer is (D). All the above.

I can tell you have some issues with people who defend themselves. If you want to read my defence of not being 'ghetto' as 'boasting' then I'm simply going to assume that your vice is being a daily drinker, or one of those people who should be on meds, but refuses to take them. You can't even answer the question posed. That says a lot.

One of things school does teach someone is critical thinking skills. If you can't figure out that Kellen was making an inference between social class and smoking, then go back to school. He was NOT actually asking anyone to provide correlative data between classes and substance use. He was looking to pump himself up. As YOU are right now.

I love the keyboard commandos. You make me laugh. You cannot actually contribute anything meaningful, so you deride others. Lord, I do love me a good laugh. :lmao:

As are you.. :-) Your hypocrisy is stunning.

Funny, I haven't bashed anyone. I simply pointed out that there's no correlation between smokers and social class. Or as Kellen described, "ghetto." It's been others on this thread trying their best to rip into me. Pathetic attempt, I may add.

Rednecks drive trucks, therefore all people driving trucks are rednecks.
Tuna are fish, therefore all fish are tuna
Ghetto people are more likely to smoke, therefore all smokers are ghetto
A thumb is a finger, therefore all fingers are thumbs
My cat is Ernie, therefore all Ernies are cats.
T-bones are steaks, therefore all steaks are t-bones.

Do you see a pattern here? The issue here is that you're defending yourself against an attack no one made. Is that the sound of butting in? That must be little Lisa Simpson! Springfield's answer to the question no one asked!

I'm waiting for the hipsters to pick up smoking. You know it's going to happen...

Funny, I smoke. Yet I've owned my own property since my mid-20's and I have a better education than 99% of the people on this forum. I'm not saying that to be offensive or insulting, but I doubt there are too many people here who've been in a Doctorate Program. I hardly qualify as "ghetto."
How the hell do you know the education of all members in this board, stupidest statement I have heard yet
