why are all the new bikes so ugly?!

In My Opinion again, in the same way, newer gsxr, or other brands, do not catch my attention like old contrasted colors shemes of blue and white gsxr. It seams that newer design are low profile colors sheme, strange blue that make me feel that is something wrong with the color. I dislike the thin front headlight on most new gsxr. Old one got large two spotlights, large tank, perfect lines, nice from all angles look strong and fast... maybe they (suzuki) will get back with old colors and shape in a couples of years. Old Gsxr shape and colors stand out of other brands, that what they make them so unique in old time (1990-2002). Now I found that they all look the same most brands compared... the only new bike that catch my attention like old gsxr, is the CBR1000 Repsol, nice color, nice shape too ;-)

Pfffft, the 80's ruled motorcycles, END OF STORY!!!!

not a word.

Yup. Looks like a Gixxer. Not noticeably different from the old one. (Ya I know they went back to single muffler ... big deal.)

Haha!!
80's bikes were good john deere tractors to me,
nothing more. I agree with Brian , not a noticeable difference... if you look
them in the dark with sunglasses.

People just like bikes of the era when they started riding.

I think anything under 2004 is ugly and bulky, but that is just me.

I personally love the R1, and if i didn't get into track riding I would have one in my garage right now!

I was feeling the stealth like fighter jet lines from the moment I saw it... I prefer sharpness over round bits, that is all.

That might be a good guess. I started riding in 2008 and I love the 2007 R6, CBR600RR, and the '08 848 and the FZ6n. I found them to be all much nicer looking than the slightly older models and haven't found the updated versions as compelling.

I think the last last generation of the ZX-9 (ending in 2003) is beautiful, especially this custom painted white one.

I'm actually kinda feeling the look of the new CBR 1K. ANyone else agree:

^ the exhaust looks like turd but no one keeps the stock exhaust anyways. Everything else looks on the money to me. I'm not a honda guy at all either.

The front is improved from previous years, but still not liking that tail. At this time all SS bikes should come with integrated signals as they get chopped off anyways. But the bike looks tiny, if I saw that on the street I would probably think it's a new CBR125

The cbr looks so much better in person. I honestly hate it in pics but it looks great when you see it live.
I'll sit on the '09 and newer gsxr's back to back with my '06 and the new one's just feel so much bigger and bulkier (not to mention they're so much heavier).

Do discrespect to anyone that has a new bike but I firmly beleive that the mid 2000 model bikes were the sexiest. I'm just not feeling a lot the new bikes.

GSXR 600 - meh

R1 - wtf is up with the bug eyed lights!

R6 - Looks so sharp with all the jagged edges

These exhausts keep getting uglier and uglier. IMO - the K6/K& gsxr has the best looking exhaust of all times

Looks like I'll be keeping my bike for awhile.

I hear you brother. I'm rocking a '97 bike and it's beauty can still be seen. I'm going to have to switch to one of these newer bikes eventually, guess we'll just have to adapt!

Saw the new CBR1K at the show, up close and personal... what a beautiful looking bike.
Still hate the exhaust and the way it comes out though.

I liked the previous gen of the CBR1000 better. Especially in endurance racing form with the single headlight and the MASSIVE belly pan.

Having said that I personally prefer the looks for 1990-2000 bikes. They don't make bikes that sound like this anymore. Straight thru ram air, dry clutch, flatslide carbs:

I think it depends on brand....To be honest, these are looking real nice to me...

Maybe this one as well.... but not 100% on the design styling yet. Sat on one, but found it uncomfortable. But super light
Fischer_MRX_650_st2pz.jpg

fisher is a American made sport bike using the Hyosung engine. Nice bike overall. Saw one the summer being tracked and besides the straights it was hanging with everyone.

As for good looking bikes, go British :) Love most of the triumph lineup

Personally I think the Gixxer 600 looks sweet.

The R6 is my least favourite with the "stinger" type tail that looks like it'll snap if any girl bigger than a twig sits on it...And of course I'm sure we can all agree that the CBR1000 is pug fugly ugly.

Yea ya do!
