Why Android is better than iPhone.

wait what is that? oh yeah, maps navigation wont work on your iphone 4...
how sad.

so you can upgrade your 3GS and iphone 4 to iOS6 but you still wont get a bunch of those wonderful new features unless you upgrade the hardware.
its like saying: you get OS 4.0, but if you really wanna use it, you have to buy a new phone.
thank you for pushing planned obsolescence (or extreme consumerism) on us Apple.

At least 3GS users will get the update, unlike Android users who are basically left completely out to dry after about a year of ownership

The fact that Android 4.0 has a pathetic 7% adoption across handsets speaks volumes for the platform.

i wouldnt say 'left out to dry.'

the whole developper community makes updates available (as discussed earlier). one of the big concepts of google's software is that there is a huge developper community making the versions readily available to users out there.
we gotta keep in mind that android is a software, an OS. not a manufacturer.
Therefore, each manufacturer has to take your invention and make it work on their own different platform with the add-ons that you want for you own different platform to make it stand out from the competition.
What's awesome with this is, you get an arms race to get the better phone out between android manufacturers.

TL;DR
It would be a lot easier to upgrade all your previous iterations if you only had one model to think of and you were the manufacturer of your own phone. Developpers take care of that in the interim.

Lets just say i dont see any huge improvements on iphone 4/4s iOS 5.1 to the new iphone with iOS 6.
There's nothing new or innovative in that new software..even in iOS5 version Lets hope they come up with more gizmos before the official release.

“With the ICS release our core objective as a company is to get all of the hardware vendors onto that platform.”

I mean, he really said that. And it’s unbelievable because it’s perhaps the most epic fail in the history of epic fails. Google’s “core objective as a company” was to get hardware vendors onto Ice Cream Sandwich (aka Android 4.0), and as of June 1 — seven months after the launch of the OS — 7.1 percent of Android phones are actually on it. Seven. Point. One. Percent.

That number isn’t from some ******** survey of a few hundred devices or some propaganda from Apple — it’s the number published by Google itself. And it’s pathetic.

unfortunately ICS is a flop. I love Android, and have ICS on my nexus s and on my Iconia tablet, but the upgrade has been painful, if I could revert my tablet back to honeycomb, and my nexus back to gingerbread I would in a second. I am hoping Android 5 aka jellybean is better. Hoping for a fall release.

iOS6 copies:

voice actions (once again, Siri isnt an innovation)
quick text response for missed calls (released in os 4.0)
gmaps/navi beta
priority inbox
chrome's tab syncage
and what not...

i guess plagiarism is flattering to some extent, until they sue your *** for it ahah

Are you saying the richest company in the world, don't have smart people working there?

Let me know when Android does this(or anything close to it).

Siri integration with the car: working with car manufacturers to use a button on the steering wheel to bring up Siri.

Im saying this... they just have more details

http://www.droid-life.com/2012/06/11/a-quick-look-at-ios-6-and-its-new-android-features/

and of course they have that integration for iphone. its just 1 phone model they have to worry about. not 150 models with different frequencies and specs and what not. its easier to rule users that are under dictatorship than free people who can do what they want with their systems :p

Facetime over cellular, ive been using g-talk with vids for the longest time over cellular and they have apps for that as well...

Mac Operating system price!!!!

More than a decade. 66 million Mac users, triple what they had just 5 years ago. Lion was the first released distributed electronically via the Mac App Store, making it easier than ever to purchase, download, and install. 26 million copies shipped to date. Best selling release ever.

40% of OS X users are running Lion. Achieved in 9 months. Windows 7 took 26 months to get to the same level.

Funny that you should say that. With iOS, people have had the same complaint against it since OS 2 came out in '08. Amazingly iOS keeps on chugging along as one of the best smartphone platforms. Apple's design theory is evolutionary, not revolutionary. Seems to be working so far.

"Those who throw down more than two grand for a new MacBook Pro with Retina Display will have a hell of a time trying to fix their notebook should anything go amiss. iFixit’s latest teardown reveals the newest member of the MacBook Pro line is the “least-repairable laptop” the team has ever had to tear apart."

"when packing all those parts inside, Apple used a lot of glue and other techniques, like numerous pentalobe screws, that make upgrades and repairs virtually impossible."

if you buy a Lamborghini, are you gonna take it to your local repair shop to fix?

selling fast, shipping times getting rough.

Because its pretty much like a limited edition car with a value of "over my life savings", no.

Once again it shows the mentality of 'do not let the user do what he wants with what he bought'

Best laptop on the market. Period.

Best customer service in the industry. Fact.

Wanna tinker with your crappy laptop? Buy an Acer

Don't hate the player, bros...
