Why Android is better than iPhone.

I just watched Kevin Oleary on "Lang and Oleary Exchange" tonight.
He's a 57 year old non techie. It was quite amusing to watch.

O'Leary is a non-techie?! For F-sakes, the guy made his millions starting a software company! I guess Gates must be a non-techie too, just because he is old.

This is like watching a tennis match, except Sunny left his racket at home.

I really have no idea if he is a techie or not, but chances are that a guy who started out by writing software didn't just one day stop being interested in technology.

I'm sure it is possible, but considering the guy still bothers to go out and buy (or promote, anyway) some of the latest technology suggests that he is still a techie.

And you really think a multi billionaire who owns and runs numerous companies, appears on numerous tv shows, and who knows what else he does in his life has time to fart around with the programming of his google phone??? rofl.

He went on to say about how GREAT the Samsung was for him and how EASY it was to set up and use.

.

I think your definition of "techie" is different than mine.

Like I said, it is entirely possible that after years of programming and re-programming to keep pace with emerging technology to remain profitable that O'Leary one day said "Enough! No more technology for me!"

Any way, before you get your panties twisted too tightly, for the most part I am on your side in this thread. I think Android is incredibly easy to use -- but I cannot compare it to Apple because I will never buy an Apple product. They lost me permanently when it was revealed that they censor content from their apps. I will not pay money for a product that actively takes part in censorship. If I paid for it I want access to the full monty.

I read posts like this, and laugh.

I just watched Kevin Oleary on "Lang and Oleary Exchange" tonight. The subject turned to smartphones, and Kevin holds up his old iphone, and his new Samsung and goes on and on and on and on and on about how great the Samsung is. He says the iphone is "70s technology" compared to the new Samsung....rofl. And goes on about how much better, and easier the Samsung is to use, the better bigger screen, simple to use interface, how incredibly easy it was to set up and sync all his google contacts and email, etc etc. He's a 57 year old non techie. It was quite amusing to watch.

Jus sayin.

Clearly you missed the purpose of my post. Reread it, it solely focuses on Google's problems getting the latest OS into the hands of customers. Google's own numbers prove that it is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.

I have nothing against Android as an OS, the more quality competition there is, the better it is for the consumer.

You will buy an Apple product in less than a year, you just don't know it yet.

I'm curious about what Apple product you think I will buy in less than a year. Is something coming out that is a must have?

O'Leary probably has Samsung tied up in his funds somewhere  of which he's losing at an alarming pace btw

Another great Apple warranty experience today. Hard drive died on my MacBook this morning, set up an appointment at Yorkdale for 6:45, they close at 7. Twenty minutes after I got there, I walked out with a working MacBook. Which other manufacturer has the facilities to do something like this on the spot, not to mention on a Sunday evening.

Apple just released the world's best laptop.... again. ;)

15.4", 2880x1800....... damn

i gotta wait till next month for OSX Mountain Lion......DAMN!!!!!!!

iOS 6 is looking Sweet!!!!!

The new iPad will be getting Siri!!!

Siri gets a ton of updates!!!!

more to come(not done yet)....

iOS6 copies:

voice actions (once again, Siri isnt an innovation)
quick text response for missed calls (released in os 4.0)
gmaps/navi beta
priority inbox
chrome's tab syncage
and what not...

i guess plagiarism is flattering to some extent, until they sue your *** for it ahah

LOL android 4.0.... A whopping 7% of Android handsets actually have it installed!

wait what is that? oh yeah, maps navigation wont work on your iphone 4...
how sad.

so you can upgrade your 3GS and iphone 4 to iOS6 but you still wont get a bunch of those wonderful new features unless you upgrade the hardware.
its like saying: you get OS 4.0, but if you really wanna use it, you have to buy a new phone.
thank you for pushing planned obsolescence (or extreme consumerism) on us Apple.
