And at least its all made in the States therefore no sweat from little underpaid chinese kids to be found on it! (which kinda explains higher cost)

Just loaded Jellybean on my Galaxy Nexus. It is quite slick! Noticeably snappier, and smooooooother.

Apple is the cream of the crop. When you want the nicest laptop in the world you don't get an Acer or an IBM, you get a Macbook Pro and you pay a premium for it. Aluminum unibody, best screens in the business, beautiful and simple design, the best touchpad in the industry, etc etc etc. Topped off with the best operating system! Same goes for iMacs, iPads, iPods, iPhones, you name it... when you want the nicest product, you buy Apple.

When you're thrifty or only concerned with 'specs' (aka which car can get me to the grocery store in the most economical way) then you buy what the competition offers.

Apple - for folks who appreciate the finer things in life. Don't be mad if you can't afford it, there are always Civics and Corollas to buy ;)

Lotus isnt a big baller prestige brand, but id take that over a bentley or rolls royce without blinking.
Same thing goes for an STi, Evo...
I prefer my rally performance and fun to my pretentious and boring ride but thats just me. I prefer something that i can abuse without worrying about 'oh how am i gonna afford repairing or replacing everything'. I use my stuff to enjoy them, better understand them, to get dirty with them hehe

Apple gets to abuse chinese workers, still overprice their products and make billions because people think exactly the same way you do! :)
Fun and amazement is out there you just need to find it

A person that buys a Rolls clearly is not the same type that would buy an EVO.

That's like saying you are not a real rider because you ride a cruiser instead of a sport bike.

:p the emphasis is on the margin of profit they try to make out of it.

Most companies will get that kinda labour to REDUCE the cost of their products...

I take part to update my gtam family of new tech in this department, that could be useful to your brains, just incase you didn't know.....this debate was over long time ago....Apple iphone is better in many ways, certain Android phones is a backup.
