Why Android is better than iPhone.

My point is that some people who disagree with you aren't zealots. Having 2 people who are, does nothing to prove or disprove this point. If I tell you that some cars are red, and then two black cars drive by, will you then tell me I must be wrong?

The trouble with zealots is that they can make themselves pretty loud, so while there are red cars driving by, all you see are black cars

Agreed. Which is why I don't participate in threads on GTAM unless I see intelligent conversation taking place. This one got run over by zealots on both sides. Meh, I've already invested too much time. Going to shut down my Vista computer, use the microsoft system in my car on the way home to have a conversation through my blackberry, and when I get home I'll fire up my MBP so I can fool around with Garageband. Unless I get distracted by my PS3. :)

apple is amazing stuff.

What's your point, I'm lost son

worth the premium if you aren't already apple-d? probably not.

Could you please explain how you consider being equally or lesser priced at $99 is paying a 'premium'?

I do agree Poser's posts are just getting silly but for every ying (Motostark) there is a yang (Poser).

considering that the apple store sells this for $119, and it's direct competitors range from $74-94, yes there is a premium.

where are you able to get the apple tv unit for $99?

lol I start to see a pattern in you're posts, be it BMW vs jap bikes or iPhone vs blackberry or w/e other smartphone brand you are pushing, it's pretty solid trolling I have to say.

Or you might actually believe that $700 for a current smart phone without a carrier subsidy is a lot of money, but I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you arn't that stupid.

Did you not even read the article you posted about apple TV? It lists the prices of it and comparable devices.

LMAO. Gotta love the irony of the countless posts he made belittling other people for not reading what he wrote.

slow down, im kinda braggin here, and at the same time informing folks who reads this thread, about such products, that they might enjoy, which they would never know existed, whats wrong with that.
you hear the words "apple tv", what comes to mind.....some expensive tv from apple, so you dont even bother looking it up. most folks just buy their tv's from walmart.
well i kinda just explained the product, you know, like a review, which i dont think im allowed to put into the review section,.... this is romper room.

i repeat, again, marketing is what apple products benefit from (and a idiot-proof os). incorporated into this is a pretty design/form factor. for some, aesthetics and the apple culture are valued. since so many of you have argued about the value of 'perception', then it definitely matters.

Wrong...again. Apple products benefit from putting their customer's experience first. The marketing informs prospective customers of the benefits of that product. The design provides customers with a sense of comfort and satisfaction, that they bought a product that they like and want to have in their possession. Not some disgusting grey box they bought because they have to. Apple products have a great perception amongst the consumers because they build great priducts that put them (the consumer first) and not some Grand HaxxorFTWEPICFAIL34330 linux coder that spends his afternoons clipping NewEgg coupons.

the point was that the perception of japanese car/apple reliability and superiority does not match reality, a reality that includes domestic/non-apple manufacturers that are equal to, or better in terms of reliability. apparently i need to use simpler sentences to be understood. . .

In the 90/2000s when customer satisfaction and journalistic accolades were being heaped upon Japenese cars...they were the best cars on the planet. The customer's perception was born of that fact. Just like Apple's products are continuously winning customer and journalistic awards. Apple products are better in terms of reliability, just like Japanese cars of the 90s and 2000s.

if you bother reading the line below the one you bolded for emphasis, you'd see why brand loyalty is so high. simple os, that anyone can use. been writing this for days now. as for "anecdotal", i don't think you know what that word means. the correct word is "hypothetical", as i was suggesting a possible scenario, not based on personal experience.

ONCE AGAIN what you think be it anecdotal or hypothetical means jack shizz. Do you understand that?? Or should I use smaller sentences?

reading fail. i was responding to a direct quote that claimed that "Apple kicks *** in the consumer market. People WANT their products". . .apple does not kick @ss in the computer market. it is getting better, but just cracked 10% market share. hardly kicking @ss.

lol, citing product loyalty or product satisfaction sources does NOTHING to prove i'm wrong. it shows a completely different, unrelated point, lol, so well done for that. unless of course, you thought that quote said "some people want their products", in which case, i agree--current apple owners want apple products, which is basically what your sources demonstrate.

OHHH I see so this is about new PC customers and what they WANT...oh ok

http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/13/idc-apples-now-third-largest-pc-vendor-in-us-with-10-6-percent/
Two million Mac shipments during the period represented an increase of 24.1 percent relative to last year, while the overall PC market turned in a somewhat morose 3.8 percent growth.

So yes there are more customers that WANT Apple COMPUTERS than the rest of the beige box kabal.

interesting how you neatly sidestep addressing the rest of that post.

any apple lovers want to address how they apparently get superior build quality out of the same foxconn factories that pump out ipod/iphones next to nokia/se/dell/hp products?? no?
should we chalk it up to more apple 'pixie dust'/magic/voodoo and call it a day?

So in your world Nokia/Dell/HP/Apple all have the same components??
Are you this dense?? Do you really think the same components go into an iPhone in comparison to Nokia phones? Does the Nokia have the same A4 chip the iPhone does? Or the same type of batteries, or the same display?? R u serious??
