Why Android is better than iPhone.

Try planning a public tranist route on the new apple maps.. links you to a list of mostly paid apps you need to download.

I'm back to using iOS5 mainly for the maps, google maps is just way better software.

Every iOS software update so far had some great new features, this iOS 6 is a fail in my book and I have been a loyal iPhone user mainly due to their superior software it's a shame really.

I'm sure a quik update will fix most of these issues (apple has been good with this in the past) but it really should not have been released in it's current form.

iPhone 5 is just taking a lambasting in the media......where do I begin...

Two Charts Spell Out Just How Disappointing Apple's iPhone 5 Sales Really Are

Putting aside the Apple/Android rivalry for a second, that is just terrible reporting. Apart from the reasons mentioned by others, the only way this graph could have made Apple look good is if the 5 had experienced at least 135% growth over the 4S in the first week. They're basically using the success of the 4S launch against Apple!

And the next 'analysis' is even worse. The average units-per-country has declined over last year, but not a word on the two countries that figure this year in the launch, that weren't in the mix last year. The size of the country matters entirely.

Never heard of BusinessInsider before, but clearly I have no reason to bet concerned that I missed anything important from them.

NOW we know for sure RIM has really lost it,

a music video, for crying out loud.

Bwaha that's almost perfect, except for one major, major, flaw; they don't give any hints in the video that they're 'in' on the cornyness of it.

Kinda like the missing smilie at the end of a sarcastic post. It makes it look like they took this video seriously, instead of being a fun, offbeat message to devs (and to the general public). So basically, it makes it seem like BB have their underwear on too tight.

LOL at the speed test. They didn't want to show how fast the S3 is.
And it looked like there didn't really show the actual results of any of the tests, instead they said iPhone was a clear winner without any proof. Biased anyone?

so i had my iphone drop tested by accident on the way home from work.

i was on the 401 doing about 120km/h when i felt some thing hit my knee/ i look down and i see my phone is missing and my id badge for work follow it. I swear a little pull over and walk back about a km picking up first my work badge, then my iPhone. I feared my phone was going to be trashed and i'd be paying for a new one that i can't afford. oddly enough not a scratch on the phone and the cheap rubber case i have on it is only slightly scuffed....

Reminds me of when RIM started looking at buying an NHL team and not focusing on what got them the $$ in the first place.....
What's next Apple? Sue farmers because they have MacIntosh red apples for sale?

smh
you didnt get it right
they'll sue MacDonald's for using the term Mac to promote their brand.

Guess this is why I didn't go into law :confused2:

I'd love to see that. McD's have been around way longer and eveything at McD's have been protected. APPLE would have their ***** handed to them.

I dont think RIM was ever looking at buying an NHL, wasn't it one of the CO-CEO's personally looking to buy?

You're right, it was Jim Balsillie (sp?). I still feel that if his attention was on his business and not chasing around NHL owners, RIM wouldn't be in as bad a shape as it is now.

Wowsers.......$99 Google Nexus Android tablet coming....

http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105...us-rumored-to-be-working-on-$99-nexus-tablet/

If its nearly as good as their $199 tablet.... this one will be tough to beat.

.

Great for consumers, don't know how good it's going to be for Google. The Nexus 7 at $200 is already being sold at cost/small loss (can't remember which), so basically they're relying on consumers to purchase apps/media to make up the profit. Don't know how well that's going to work out

There's also the long term issue of once you get consumers accustomed to buying your cheap products. If Google decides to introduce a high end tablet at say $500, they're going to have a hard time convincing customers to spend the money.
