Why Android is better than iPhone.

I pre-ordered a 32GB and 64GB iP5 within minutes of each other(Rogers), but only got the 32GB, i have to wait maybe over the weekend till monday for the 64GB.

Anyways, the phone is really amazing, the bigger(longer) screen does make a difference, and a few iOS 6 updates, that wasn't even put out there, that i noticed, is freaking awesome. Oh and talk about lightweight compared to the other 4+(S), no wonder it would do good on a drop test.

How does that Apple vs Samsung ruling affect the galaxy line of phones in Canada?

In other iPhone5 news, the ridiculous drop tests that no one really cares about are out. Looks like the 5 does as well or better than a SIII. Doubt the Apple users actually care, but at least it will give Sunny one less thing to troll about

Forget the drop test...

the thing scratches waaaay too easily. It'll look beat up in no time.

FAIL.

iPhone user since the 3G, won't be getting the 5 not impressed at all. Even the iOS6 tweaks are nothing special, this whole no Jobs no Apple thing may hold some weight.

Amen....

the outdated iPh5 and 7" ipad are proof that they are lagging.

No Jobs, No Apple.

Samsung Galaxy S4 coming in Feb/Mar will give the iphone a further iSpanking.

[h=1]How you can help make the new Maps app better[/h]
As you’ve probably noticed, Apple has been taking a lot of criticism over the new Maps application in iOS 6. Google Maps has been replaced in the software, in favor of Apple’s own in-house mapping solution. And for most people it’s just not up to snuff. The company commented on the criticism yesterday, telling AllThingsD that because it’s a cloud-based solution, Maps will get better as more people use it. But if you aren’t buying that, or just want to speed the process along, here’s what to do…The process to report a problem in the new Maps application is pretty simple, and the information will certainly help Apple out.
  • Launch the Maps app and tap the page curl in the bottom right
  • Tap the Report a Problem link that sits above the Print button
  • Select the type of problem you’ll be reporting, or, if you don’t see yours listed, enter your own, and tap Next.
  • Choose the the type of item giving you a problem and again, tap Next.
  • Add any further comments you may have, and then tap Send.
And that’s all there is to it. A team of engineers will investigate your issue when they can, and hopefully it will be fixed in the not-so-distant future. You can also use the same above method to add a new location or business to Apple’s database. Just select Location is Missing when you’re on step #3, and drag the purple pin to the right spot. Then enter in the applicable information and tap Send.Just imagine, if everyone with iOS 6, or even half of them, did this every time they came across an error or missing location, Maps would improve rather quickly.

I never understood jailbreaking. If you wanted to customize your phone why not just get a different brand?

Maybe we do not want a different brand?!?!
This brand is amazing. You should try it.

Meh, it makes the phone run like ****. Imo the big seller of the iphone is the software it comes with. Jailbreaking it leaves with a less powerful phone.

WoW......lets talk about scratches then. Because the Apple iPhone 5 is the best cellphone to have and not worry if it drops.

Chicks are gonna raid iPhone sales, because of this....others too.

Please don't spread wrong information.

I'm not, my friend and I have the same phone. His is jailbroken, mine isn't. Mine runs better then his does.

what phone do you have?

You are partly right. Jailbreaking in and of itself does not harm the phone. Installing apps that screw with the OS does. You have to be very careful which apps you install. Even something as simple as Iconrotator that gives you a landscape view on your iphone, or Unfold that folds away your lock screen when you unlock kept causing problems for my phone.

All of my devices are jailbroken, but I am very careful about what I install on it, and install only what I need. This way, my devices don't run differently than on stock iOS software

thanks for letting him know....i was basically gonna write the same thing, but just needed more info about what type of device he used.

But the more the phone gets better, it runs buttery no matter what.....starting with iPhone 4S, and now the 5.

Yes iPhone 4 can give a little lag here and there, so just get rid of the bad egg(tweak).

Got the 4s. I'm sure if you know what you're doing you can avoid most issues. All I'm saying is as far as I can tell the biggest selling point of any apple product is the software it comes with. You will almost always pay more for the same specs when comparing apple with other products.

All that said, I still prefer my phone over the s3. I got a chance to compare it and although the screen is much better it's just too big for my taste. At what point does it stop being a phone and start being an undersized tablet?
