Why Android is better than iPhone.

[h=2]Apple responds to Maps criticism: ‘the more people use it, the better it will get’[/h]
Customers around the world are upgrading to iOS 6 with over 200 new features including Apple Maps, our first map service. We are excited to offer this service with innovative new features like Flyover, turn by turn navigation, and Siri integration. We launched this new map service knowing it is a major initiative and that we are just getting started with it. Maps is a cloud-based solution and the more people use it, the better it will get. We appreciate all of the customer feedback and are working hard to make the customer experience even better.

Haha;

I should go hang out at Apple Stores tomorrow and sell Maps, I could make a killing!

Don't worry, Apple will be out shortly with a detailed explanation as to why you dont "need" a functioning navigation app.

They're currently pulling copywriters off the "why you dont need NFC" project as we speak.

What's funny is with every iPhone iteration there's a complaint that the anti-Apple fanboys go crazy over;

iPhone 4 had antennagate
iPhone 4S had batterygate
iPhone 5 has mapgate

Never seems to affect the actual iPhone users. I haven't had a chance to upgrade any of my devices to iOS6 yet, but I do know a few people that have been using it since beta for months now and this is the first I'm hearing about map problems. Not saying it doesn't exist, but perhaps overblown. Same as the previous, major, device crippling issues

Stole this from thechive.com, even as an Apple user it's funny

@regder, HILARIOUS picture, love it. and maps-wise i guess with more users, the bugs get flushed out a lot easier.

@nfq, ive always been jealous of nokia's mapping
nokia > gmaps > paper maps > ios6 maps lol

That's a lot of little boxes... :D

Its crazy what people pay just to have something on release day. I am more then ok with waiting a few weeks, let all the demand go down, then just walk into an apple store and pick one up.

i really wonder how many people actually buy iPhones at grossly inflated pricing. I doubt many, if any, actually do. Perhaps something like $50 above msrp, but not $500. This isn't exactly a tickle me elmo after all. Just because it's listed for sale at a stupid price, doesn't mean anyone actually buys it.

In other iPhone5 news, the ridiculous drop tests that no one really cares about are out. Looks like the 5 does as well or better than a SIII. Doubt the Apple users actually care, but at least it will give Sunny one less thing to troll about

Google Maps supports caching of areas now as well. Works well. (but you still cannot get directions when you are in the area without a data link)

It's a step in the right direction, but even my old Nokia E71 had a full version of Garmin XTMobile running right off an SD card, it was brilliant. I miss that phone.....

iPhone user since the 3G, won't be getting the 5 not impressed at all. Even the iOS6 tweaks are nothing special, this whole no Jobs no Apple thing may hold some weight.

Not a fan of Android's poor support for OS updates so may hold out for the windows phone 8s this Christmas, looks like the new HTC and Nokia offerings are really putting the new iPhone to shame, on paper at least.

The only way another phone is going to put a serious dent on Apple's share is if they come up with something revolutionary. You could argue that since the inception of the iphone and its brethren, there has not been anything revolutionary, just more of the same (not that that in itself is problem, i'd rather have a faster core and more memory for sure).

Now as for what would constitute as revolutionary, we will recognize it when we see it.

There are people who do, baffles me, but they are out there. I had a friend who used to get a few new iPhones on release, lots of waiting in line, and shelling out money, but he was able to sell either same day or next day for much more then what he bought it for. I don't have the patience for it, but you can make a quick easy buck doing it for sure.
