Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2024 Edition)

Got out for a few hours today, first ride since my biggie a few weeks back. Yay for heated seat, heated grips, and heated vest today.
Do you find after a long trip or on your case a looooong time in the saddle, you just ignore your bike for a few days as if it isn’t there and then you think, man it’s been a long time since I got a ride in and the big grin comes back as you roll down the driveway.
Nah, I didn’t experience that today as I heard bikes buzzing up and down the road while I was busy stuffing leaves into bags. Must be the first weekend I haven’t ridden since spring. Oy

After our two day ride back in the summer I felt that way. I didn't want to go for a ride for several days, but as soon as I hit the road it was ahh this is great. I don't typically ride on weekends and prefer the more peaceful weekday rides when there is far less traffic. However, after spending the last three days crawling around my family room floor replacing the laminate with hardwood click flooring, I am in dire need of a ride this week. It's looking good for Thursday or Friday.🤞

Ah you must be semi-retired or work flexi-hours. I took some weekdays off and found there was lot more truck traffic during that time than on the weekend. I tend to go early on the weekend and never notice that traffic is that bad. I prefer it to weekday traffic. I tend to go north and north west. Unless if I am trying to race someone for a photo tag in the east. :ROFLMAO:

A quick winter spin to Halliburton on Saturday. Temperature ranged from 1-4 degrees C.

Yeah, retired for 13 years now. I do work two days a week at the golf course / ski hill when they are operating. I'm currently between seasons so fully retired until the hill opens in December. My rides are always north from here, so I don't deal with very much traffic on weekdays.
