Who's still riding? (Fall 2016 / Winter 2017 edition)

At suggestions for a destination for tomorrow? Thinking of taking advantage of the nice day, looks good up until 5-6pm before it's forecasted to cloud over, but of course it's getting dark by then anyways so I'd like to call it a day before such.

Looking for 300-400 kilometres, somewhere mostly avoiding the superslab, north or east of the Oshawa area ideally, with somewhere decent for lunch.

I'm contemplating Bancroft as a point B perhaps but am open to ideas.

Here my preferred route to Bancroft from Port Perry:

Really nice today but did not have much time to ride....run to doctors and then up to the Forks for a late lunch and a busy ride home.....still the weather was stunning.

Plan change. I have to be back for 6.30 so I may head to Bancroft too via Mazinaw lake. What time might anyone be there?

Rode to work and back today. I'll ride any day the roads are clear and it's above 8 degrees C. (Colder than that and my tires have all the traction of a plastic hockey puck.)

Lovely day today ...might be the last really nice day. Actually lied about that ...15 and sun tomorrow.

Juuuuuust made it home before it started ripping down with rain!!
Traction was great yesterday. Much better when it was hovering around +5 last week.

FYI Track My Plow might be slightly bugged, and/or still report when plows are being moved but not in operation. Around 17C at the moment and raining/about to rain, and according to it a plow is heading down the 401 in Ajax...Durham region can be stupid about salting...but not THAT stupid...

Me too, it was sprinking my whole ride and right as I got off the highway it started to come down a bit harder. Got to my front door and it started pouring! Rode around on my lunch break and it was beautiful.

Equipment is frequently moved from one depot to another. Clearly the website tracks regardless of "in service" vs "just driving to point B".

Weather gods are smiling

Saw that. Looking at planning something Saturday. There will be a *lot* of bikes out I'm sure both days.

Pity those who decided to put away their bikes weeks ago on some arbitrary date.

Chilly wind up at the Forks tho they did put the chairs out. Was lovely in Mississauga ...still nice to get out.

quite a few out..

You must be an expert at the forks ehh:D Enjoy while you can...

It's my northern office for the last few years...nice 100 km loop so not so far even in single digits.

Cute girls, good coffee and munchies

Exactly, that must be it. During the first snow fall it was easier to tell which ones were in service primarily because there were just so many of them out that day. Also, when you see a group of 3-4 together on major highways, it's also evidence that they're in use as this is the plowing technique over multiple lanes.
