Who's still riding? (Fall 2016 / Winter 2017 edition)

Feels warmer than the 12 ...maybe it's the crowd at the Forks....Geez - cars and motorcycles galore and line out the door for coffee.

Gorgeous out tho....no wind, sunny ( tho going down quickly ). Enjoyed the ride up. Heated grips working well now the fuse is sorted ....put on an extra layer so very comfortable ride.
Warmer tomorrow so thinking maybe a Dover run for perch. Be lovely along Lake Erie as the lake water is crazy warmer than normal. 16 predicted tomorrow :D

Needed to put some Shell gas in the tank to get the bike ready for storage. Haven't ridden since late July and she started right up! Went for a rip to burn off the last of the old gas, filled up and headed back home. Maybe an hour ride. Damn I miss it. Saw a group of 4 riders on Hwy 27 and 2 adv riders on Islington. A bunch of bikes stopped for coffee in Klienburg as well. Just popped 2 Tylenol as my shoulder is killing me. I'm gonna pay with pain for this ride. But it was worth it. So nice today!

Radiant heat seems to do wonders. Sat outside with my coffee in Paris, rested hand on metal refuse container. More than warm to the touch. Even overheard an older fella exclaim "dang the suns bright!". His wife barely reacted.

I was behind that couple at the airport last month,
Customs guy says 'where are ya goin?' Old guys says 'Miami' , old lady says "whad he say?' old guys says ' asked where were going , I said Miami'
Customs guys says 'how long will you be away?' Old guys says 'one week', old lady says' whad he say?', Old guy says ' asked how long gone, I say a week'
Customs guy asks 'where are you from?' ,Old guy says 'Paris Ont.' Customs guys says ' I met a girl from Paris once, worst BJ I ever had in my life' , Old lady says ' whad he say??' , Old guys says ' He thinks he knows you..."

I was out riding around Dover today. Amazing day !

The wife and I (and a few friends) were out for 3-4 hours - went up to Bailieboro, down to Port Hope and then west back along Lakeshore road. Not quite as many bikes out as there was yesterday, but still quite a few, especially across Lakeshore road. Still a surprising amount of colours in the trees out there, lots of yellows, some hints of red left, and even some green still.

Riding to/from work is about done for me for the season, dark too early now after the time change, meh. Ditto for after work rides, unfortunately, so that leaves weekends...and the next one is looking cold.

Barring another weekend in the 6+ degree territory I'm thinking short of a few putters around town any meaningful riding may be done for me. I'm fairly confident my wifes last ride was today as well as she's no fan of the cold, but no complaints, we added up her odometer today and she logged over 5000K...in her first ever riding season. :)

I'm just doing the occasional commute to work when the weather is agreeable and then doing some errands with the bike.

Rode to work today. Didn't end up making it out over the weekend, unfortunately.

5 layers deep at 4c outside coming in at 5am to work today. But so worth it when I bust home at 2pm today at 16c...may even go nude

Rode to Terra nova yesterday and a deer ran out in front of my buddy, he locked up the rear and highsided across the road and landed in the ditch. Bike needs all new left side fairings, possibly front fairing, left side tail fairing, maybe headlight buckets (lights themselves are ok), left foot peg snapped, left clip-on and lever bent slightly, highbeam/pass-to-flash assembly smashed up, gas tank scratched, shifter had to be bent back out but still solid. The front wheel and fork assembly, all controls and rear wheel/chain all were working properly and there was still half a foot peg on the left side.

Some shoulder/rib/back pain but he was determined to ride home, made it about halfway and we stopped at another friends house so his wife could pick him up. Crazy stuff! He's doing ok

Beautiful days still for riding! Went out yesterday on my own (couldn't find anyone available from friends list) and ended up going through to Hamilton and then back along the Lake to Mississauga. Beautiful, tons of bikes, beautiful colours, and just overall enjoyable.

Going to commute today / tomorrow as it's the last few days left for me and I'm hoping it's not too bad at 10pm when I finish up at work. E

JP0160 - sorry about your buddy. Horrible way to end the season but at least he's still walking and was able to ride most of the way.

Rode to work today - Gerbing heated jacket - velocity heated gloves - Quality balaclava - heated grips - nice and warm ride.

I'm downtown right now on my bike. Its nice out, just wandering around enjoying the weather..

Gorgeous out right now, just got in from a pre afternoon shift rip&coffee. Even managed to see my first ever Norton 961 in the wild.

It was an awesome weekend for riding.

I didn't see any evidence of salt or brine yet on the roads up towards Perry Sound and down around Lake Simcoe.

Lucky bastards. I live at Yonge and Finch and work at Yonge and Eglinton. I'd rather TTC than take a SS in a straight line during rush hour lol
