What's Your Temperature Cut-Off For Riding?

The ride in this morning was fine. I'm the only bike parked on the street. :(

With my new wind deflectors, I almost had to turn off my heated grips.

new cut-off time for me is +5 degrees. those wind deflectors look nice!
next motorcycle related purchse would be heated gloves and heated socks.

-3 this morning when Ileft home, warmed up to 0 by the time I got to Newmarket. It had warmed up to +3 by the time I got to Woodbridge.

I was pleased to have seen three other bikes: A cruiser of sorts (on Greenlane in Newmarket Area), a sport bike (I think it was heading up Bathurst towards Davis) and a sport bike heading west on 9 aroudn hwy 400 (not sure what it was but either an SV650 or a Yamaha Sport Bike. It was blue is about all I can recall.)

Nice to see other bikes out not letting coolish temps stop them from riding!

Is it the temps? or is it really the comments by those within earshot that stops people from riding?

In December sometime...

I guess there are people that base their riding on other people's opinions.

my cut off time is 5-6C. i have a thick leather jacket and the heat coming off from my r6 keeps of legs warm. no need heated grips i just put on leather gloves, the pads in the helmet will provide some warmth to the head. thats about it

Cut-off Temperature... I dunno:dontknow:

I got 1200km more planed for this season though... :toothy9:

Cool! Did you make those yourself or did you buy them?

1200k more? - today's one of the better ones. Likely warmest along Lake Erie - was very nice last weekend.
3-6 degrees warmer and once more a SW wind helping today.

Trying for 400 or so today starting late....stop in at the Shed around noon and then up to Eugenia Falls - hope the bakery is open - good bread.

Those wind deflectors look very good - big weakness on the Burgman no hand protection.

after have a nice night in with the g/f last night, i dropped her home around midnight, i thought to myself, heck lets go DT and see some costumes.. i got on my biked, warmed her up for about 8 min and started to ride ( i live at Don Mills and Steeles ) jumped on the 404 and my buike just felt sluggesh, so i got off at Lawrence and let the bike ide for abit. after a few min i was going to drive back on the on ramp until i felt my hands getting numb... i drove the F home, it was wayy to cold for me to riding, one of the more dumber things i have ever done. i was hard for me to rev the throttle or even use the clutch. I don't have warm gri[s, but i use winter thin mits under my gloves

Doesn't factor in your speed too. I felt the beginings of frost bite in my finger tips at around plus 3 while riding on the highway.

I think it was -1 when I went out this morning. 400 and 401 wasn't bad at all. By 11am it was warm enough, I turned off my heated grips.

Thanks, I made the deflectors.
Used the vinyl from refrigeration doorway...
