What pickup truck do you use?

ALWAYS buy n
more truck than you need. Better to have more and not need it than need it and dont have it.

I hear ya Bud!

Might grab my buddy's brother's lifted GMC Canyon 4x4 crew cab with 190k, $4500
Looked at it yesterday. In good shape. He gets 500km on a tank even with big tires. $70 to fill up.

If you can find insurance for it... My cousin ended up selling a truck for just the cost of the lift kit because he couldn't afford the labour to remove it and couldn't find any companies that would insure the truck with the kit installed.

Although it was an old truck that wasn't worth much to begin with.

Ok, it's only raised a bit. Not crazy.
Didn't think that insurance companies are conserned about that. I mean a whole bunch of my friends have lifted trucks and that's how they bought them.

They don't like lowered vehicles either. Most people just don't bother to tell the insurance company about those mods.

I never tell insurance anything anyways..
-"Is your car stock?"
-"Yes"

That's what most do. Works well unless they actually look into it if something happens. Then you can be liable for lots of money. Off topic, though.

Haha, why am I not surprised.

I have a lifted jeep. When I insured it I was never asked any questions, so I didn't volunteer the information.

Exactly.
"If she doesn't know, it won't hurt her."

Been like that since '05 with 2 cars.

Any claims since then?

Read the fine print in your insurance clause about modifications to vehicles, without informing them of said modifications. Any reason they need to not pay out, they'll find it.

And then you'll be on the line for thousands of dollars, if not more, presuming you are at fault.

That's why I play it safe. I don't even care if I don't get any money for my $20k car. I care about the medical bills of the other person I might injure/kill. But this is getting into more a discussion for the insurance section.
