What kinda boots do you wear?

Kinda forget about this thread. I now have a pair of SIDI boots (cobra) and so does the wife (Orangepeel).

Nice boots man... I picked up a pair for my girl at the Jan. show (Vertigo's)...
She didn't mind the looks and it was the only boot they had in her size lol.

I'm seeing a lot of props for the S-MX 5 boot, I like that.

Skyway6, this looks very similar to the ST Vented boot they carry. Don't know if you've had the chance to ride in them, but how does the ankle support seem to be on your boot? I've got glass ankles, and I insist on a tall boot with strong bracing.

If you have tried the ST Vented. They are the exact same boot. The difference being the ST have air holes in the ribbed section btwn the
toes and shin. I almost got the ST Vented but decided on the Drystar as i could use them all year. They are much better than my previous boots (6in Red Wings laceups) which were ok when i rode scooters but laces freek me out around motorcycles :)

Havent had too much of a chance to ride in them but this weekend looks like good weather. (10+c and sunny) Ankle support not as good as say in race boots like Sidi etc but those u cant walk around in. Wanted a balance btwn good riding protection and walking. These Drystar fit for that.

Nice the only really good boot I have seen, so much better than anything from SIDI or Puma.

The SIDI boots I have creek like an haunted house door. It's the plastic on the back rubbing together. Kind of annoying when walking in a quiet place, people look at me kinda funny, more so than usual. LOL

I like the look and fit of my sidis B1s. Got them off Kijiji for $100. Basically brand new, with the box, stickers n' all. Men's size 4.5, lol.

Good to know. I'm with you on trying to find that balance, I want to be comfortable not just while riding.

I can tell ya, SIDI my boots aren't comfortable for walking in. Not a big deal for me because I don't wear them with walking in mind. Although it would be nice to find something in between.

We looked SWAT boots at the show, but I'm not fussy about laces. I've had boots with laces in the past hookup on stuff, not safe. I remember back when I did a lot of off-roading, we used to wear steel nose work boots.

Those SIDI boots are all show, no go.

I swear the flashier the boot looks, the bigger piece of s*** it is. Daytona and Dainese boots, perfect examples of the opposite. Both have extremely stiff ankle protection and inner support. Those Sidi and A* stormtrooper-like boots are the opposite.. they have all this crappy cladding on the outside for the cool-factor, but they snap like matches when you give them some sideways bend at the ankles.

My Sidi B2's squeak a lot too. You could always lubricate the overlapping plastic plates on the back.

I love my Puma's So comfy I can wear them all day with out any problem:)
