Standard '12 ninja 250r.

Why do I ride it? Good beginner bike, love the handeling, gives me enough power for commuting. Also because im 21 and poor and insurance is the boogieman

I will be riding a 2013 Honda Goldwing F6B as soon as the weather gets better and I can go pick it up. Decided to go this way because I wanted a bagger for long distance riding and I got a great deal, plus its 1800 cc so it has lots of power.

A lot of great bikes guys, looks like the supersport dominates at a consistent 40%+ . Already got insurance quotes and since state farm will insure me on a 600, it doesn't make sense to go for an sv650. I will be looking at a ninja 600 tomorrow. Thanks guys for all the suggestions and comments really helped with my decision.

2001 GS500.

Of all the 'beginner bikes' I looked at, I liked it best. Great all-round bike, and very simple to maintain.

Shaft drive. I rode a Suzuki GS450L when I was 17. It was chain driven. The 650 is the exact colour scheme of my old 450. The nostalgia is what sold me.

No saying its a good/bad thing.
Some people just like meeting up to ride their bike rather than cleaning it
