What did you do to your track/race bike today

Where are you? I am going to see carboncat Thursday.
I am in Brooklin (WHitby) and work on Yonge and Eglinton, is that anywhere close to you?

Put on the numbers on the race bike - Thanks Drew (Track Side Cuts)

Wow, they look great! In the first pic, looks like you just photoshopped the numbers on there! :)

I covered the bodywork with black rattlecan rust paint. I also installed the NRC stator cover. Life is good.

Painted gas tank black. Built and installed front brake guard and shark fin chain guard. Look out SOAR, here I come.

Giggity

Pics you lazy people - I am curious about your Brake Guards and chain guard

I'm gonna spray bomb my tank one of these days. Already installed my shark fin guard. Not racing though.

Here are the guards from Trackside Cuts... which reminds me, have to get my "warranty" repaint to match the new scheme! These pics are from Drew's bike. I crashed and tumbled my bike in the grass. All I had to do was bend the lever guard back in place and it was good as new. Someone else who bent their shark fin back into place after a major tumble.

I installed the starter idle and clutch NRC covers. Book recommends after installation to turn over the engine by hand to see if something rubs. I did it by shifting to upper gear and pushing the bike, it turned over. Is it really supposed to be that hard to turn it over? I tried by hand by turning the rear wheel while on the rear stand, and I couldn't do it.. Note--there's no oil in the engine right now.

Installed Vortex adjustable rear sets put air in my trailer tires and charged my battery. Ready for Victoria weekend!!!

Did you have the spark plugs out? It's hard to turn the motor against compression, even without oil.

Nope, sparks were in. There's a lot to learn, lol!

Anyone can tell me if these "gasket washers" that go on some of the bolts of the clutch cover, generator cover, starter clutch cover, etc... are they really needed? I didn't have any, so I just tightened the bolts to torque specs, but I wonder if I should order some and undo just these particular bolts and install the washers were needed later?

I did nothing cuz it's still to cold to paint my bodywork. arggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Don't know your goals in terms of quality and how it looks, but if you were like me....well, last few days I've been coating the bodywork with tremclad spray paint. Let's just say I expected worse results, lol

Not quite on the track bike.. but installed a Sato Racing shift shaft support bracket on my Triumph...
Maybe she'll be a track bike in a couple of years - dunno yet.

The Sato rear sets for my bike are extra schmexy. I might go that route rather than converting the stock ones to GP shift and trying to figure out a quickshift sensor setup for it :(
