Wow, they look great! In the first pic, looks like you just photoshopped the numbers on there!Put on the numbers on the race bike - Thanks Drew (Track Side Cuts)
Painted gas tank black. Built and installed front brake guard and shark fin chain guard. Look out SOAR, here I come.
Giggity
Pics you lazy people - I am curious about your Brake Guards and chain guard
I installed the starter idle and clutch NRC covers. Book recommends after installation to turn over the engine by hand to see if something rubs. I did it by shifting to upper gear and pushing the bike, it turned over. Is it really supposed to be that hard to turn it over? I tried by hand by turning the rear wheel while on the rear stand, and I couldn't do it.. Note--there's no oil in the engine right now.
Did you have the spark plugs out? It's hard to turn the motor against compression, even without oil.
I did nothing cuz it's still to cold to paint my bodywork. arggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
The Sato rear sets for my bike are extra schmexy. I might go that route rather than converting the stock ones to GP shift and trying to figure out a quickshift sensor setup for itNot quite on the track bike.. but installed a Sato Racing shift shaft support bracket on my Triumph...
Maybe she'll be a track bike in a couple of years - dunno yet.
