What did you do to your track/race bike today

Ferodo Race 211 pads
New NGK plugs

Boring, but needed to be done.

Probably replacement tires soon. Just DRC's. Work good enough for my slow ***.

Cut damn near 6 inches off my pipe so it doesn't extend past the rear tire. Cutting titanium is no fun.

You coming out with us lost era dirt bags?

You coming out with us lost era dirt bags?

Ya most likely. Rookie cup and lost era. Just gotta send my stuff to ken. Gotta see if I can scan and email or fax, make it easier. 17 days till practice weekend... Damn I still gotta finish painting. And buy tires. And safety wire. Oh my

Today I started for the first time the clunker Champion 1500w, which I bought on sale for 150 or so in the fall. If it lasts me the season, I'll be happy! (don't worry, I have it on a long leash out in the grass). It is noisier than I thought..

Placed my numbers today and a few stickers. They are beautiful, but look like crap due to crappy installation. Also finished safety wiring the bike. The only things not wired are the rear brakes and the oil filler cap, which I'll hook to the clutch cap after I'm done with the clutch tests.

Lookin good man! I dunno if I'ma be able to keep up, with all the extra HP those numbers gave ya!!

Good luck with your clutch testing!

Did an oil and filter change on the race bike, safety wired the K&N filter and the drain bolt

..Almost ready

after using about a thousand cable ties to tuck cables and stuff away, i'm completely finished with the bike. There's nothing to do on it anymore. Even fueled, and timed myself putting warmers and taking them off...that's how much i have nothing else to do on it..

don't know why you're wasting time practicing putting warmers on................

wheel changes are something that are more worthwhile. don't concentrate on speed, just on accuracy.

The reason I had to try putting the warmers was two-fold:

1) Lame reason: I had never done it before.

2) Good reason: I changed my gear ration to -1/+3, and installed a brand new chain. Also installed a tire with a much taller profile. As a result, there is a very tiny little clearance between the rear tire and the frame, and I wasn't sure if it's enough for the warmer to fit. It turned out that it fits, although it rubs the frame.

And the end result:

Wow, that looks friggen great!! Weren't going to do the whole rad part while you were there?? :)

I converted my Drift Ghost over to a standard gopro mount, and put a gopro mount on the tail of my bike, so now I got both front and rear covered. I bought a rollbar mount for my china cam so I can put it on my frame slider or axle slider, but can you believe it doesn't have a standard tripod thread in it?!? China, wtf?!! lol.

I mounted it up, recorded a test video and it was upside down and sideways?! lol. I rotated the lens and shot another video and it was just upside down, so rotated it 180 degrees so should be correct now. So confusing looking at the onboard screen and trying to figure out which way is "up" :)

Thanks. I wanted to do the rad too, but it seems much more complicated and I'm not sure how to do it---it should be removable somehow, because otherwise how am I gonna put on/of the body without removing the forks first?! I really don't know how to go about it..

Hey, so many cameras, point one backwards please, so I can see myself in your videos later! ;)

Btw, with a gear indicator, phone (for the GPS timer) and an external GPS receiver, I already feel like I've got way too many gadgets on the bike, so I'm not putting a camera, at least for now (I have a Drift). You must feel like a cyborg with so much stuff! But I sense you like that feeling :)
