What did you do to your track/race bike today

Got a clutch cover gasket. Adjusted clutch, can't wait to test it and see if it's any good (I gotta test if it slips under acceleration, so let's hope no popo where I'll do it).

Safety wired most of the bike. Is it ok to wire banjo bolt to banjo fitting on the brakes?

How do you wire hoses (and the filter, on which I'll put a hose clamp)? All the pictures in the internet don't make any sense---wiring the clamp to something---well, what if the screw of the clamp itself backs out?!?!?!

Through the last slit in the clamp, pull the sides even, around clamp.and then through the screw head. Twist, cut.

Yes I wire to the banjo fitting

Charging batteries and tonight I take them around the cul de sac a few times to get them fully warm and see how everything is working.

You wire the screw to the clamp then the clamp to the bike. Ill see if I can snap a pic shortly.

Yes, please! Nothing speaks better than a picture!

Last slit, around the hose until it reaches the screw head, then .... I'll wait for some pic if somebody posts, I can't be sure without a pic. Obviously, I can make it work, but why rediscover things.. :(

Just what I did right now---around the block. My clutch works fine (after some adjustments on the case and at the lever). HOWEVER, it disengages way too low---very close to the grip. I guess I need to revisit that adjustment rod through the side cover..

Shaman, you had such bike, do you remember if the adjustment rod has to go in or out in order to make the clutch disengage with less lever travel? I did everything by the book, also have brand new fibers and steel plates...still, i'm not happy with the result.

I can't recall. I seem to remember that there was adjustment at the clutch but I don't remember which way to turn it... it should be pretty obvious once you start.

I only like premium beers. What a snob!

Got the tank on with fixed fuel pump connection:

Wired up the HM Quickshifter.... why didn't I put one of these on earlier?! Shifts with this are just amazing form the limited 'test' runs I did yesterday.... sorry neighbours!

I am surprised you were able to switch to GP style shifting with the HM QS on that side, I had to inverted but I have different rear sets

That thing is awesome eh? like butter specially at high RPM. I am thinking in putting one on my street bike, not because I need it, just because ... well I don't have a reason other than I want to :)

There was a bit of rubbing between the shift rod and the rearset mounting plate, but a couple washers was able to rectify that pretty easily. The tolerance is tight, but it shifts through all gears without touching.

I will honestly recommend you to switch it around, it will give you lots more room for error, like some flexing on the rod from when you going all balls out and hit that shifter hard. Just a suggestion, maybe I'm way too paranoid :)

I use the K&N oil filter, comes pre-drilled for safety wiring

All this grief with wiring stuff. Another reaason for me not to race. They're getting flimsier but I'll keep on adding to the list.

And I finally have a new (to me) part to go on my bike. I was beginning to feel left out. Galfer rear rotor to replace stock.
