What did you do to your track/race bike today

how much were they?

400 from blue streak racing in embro. Seems to be the going rate. If I can get 4 races outta them ill be happy. And hopefully a track day at the end too. Stepping up from Pirelli supercorsas. Pretty much the same price and I get 3 Track days on a rear.

Are these actual slicks or the superbike pro's?

great tire for a track day, but you really have to run warmers with them, and watch when they are near end of life, they get really slippery.

They last WAYYYYY longer than race tires.
And stick almost as well....80-90% IMHO.
I did two endurance races on one set, that were given to me free, that had six days at Calabogie already on them, and they still looked mint. In fact they still look pretty good AFTER my two endurance races. SOmeone who rides green or yellow at a trackday could still get a few trackdays out of them.

As Smergy said, when they're cooked, they get greasy, but it's smooth and predictable. At the end of my second endurace race, I could drift out of any corner exit at will, and it was never scary. The front was great, even braking deep into turns from top of 5th gear.

Track bikes are all ready to go so wwent camping last night with the toyhauler. Never had an RV before so needed to figure everything out and make a list of "needs" for it.

Took the race bike out of the shop and put it on the trailer. Checked fluid levels, put gas in it, started the engine, checked the charging system, all seems well. Bike feels very light with all the new goodies on it ... this should be fun!

And they look sweet !

- fired up the genny, she was being a bit moody
- fixed up some small holes in the ez-up ( silicone caulking is quite effective )
- mounted some superbike pro's, leaving the 448/449's for warmer weather ( first set, we'll see how long they last )

Put on a new hose clamp and threw the battery back on the tender.
Voila. Done.

took it to a parking lot and raced around in circles to get use to the new to me bike! Dizzy!
