What did you do to your track/race bike today

Busy weekend and late Monday night working on the Competiton Cycle Gsxr 600. Installed the exhaust, radiator, fabricated a pipe clamp for the muffler, mounted the bazzaz z-afm and t/c handle bar switch, got the fork cartridges installed, forks mounted, steering damper, brakes bled, and new tail/front fairing fitted with some Bickle numbers. Also spent a good 3 hours trying to get my laptop to communicate with the empro on both the 600 and my 1000, tried and failed.

for dangerous driving to stick a prosecutor would need to prove intent, e.g. your trying to hurt someone with your car because your mad they cut you off, etc. Careless is just that, a lack of care during operation. Since its a private lot, they can't charge you with careless (HTA). Dangerous would be hard to stick for just driving around in circles on a bike without anyone else around. But they could always do trespassing of course, and I'm willing to bet they would find some other blanket charge to nail you with.

Yeah its a criminal charge but under the HTA which means only on public roads. What I was charged with and was thrown out eventualy was public endangerment. Trespassing is another thing you could be charged with but the owner has to give the go ahead to have that issued. Don't let the cops push you around guys. if you are not on public road your licence can not be threatened. I had to deal with them for a long time and they eventually just out lasted me in to quickly stunting

Bought an extra rear sprocket. Even before I ever got to ride it with my new -1 front / +3 rear ratio, I'm already feeling like it was a mistake to go +3 in the rear, so I bought another sprocket to be able to switch back as last year to -1 / 0 at the track if I deem it necessary. Today I'll wash the bike, shower and scrub chain with kerosine, then lube, and I'm good to go.

Wrong. Not all charges under the HTA require intent to be proven. Dangerous and Wreckless do not need intent. They only need the Actus Reas. You do it, you get charged for it.

The only way to not be charged for those types of offences, after committing them, is either act of god (tornado chasing me), necessity (if I didn't, the person suffering from a heart attack would have died) or duress (the guy behind me with a gun made me do it)

In fact, VERY FEW charges under the HTA require Mens Rea to be proven.

Well that's depressing.

Maybe someone here will know this answer:

I am installing a motion pro quick throttle on my bike and when i assemble everything the throttle bodies are open a tiny bit, is this normal? I think the throttle should always be a little bit on for the bike to idle, but i want to check since the cbr600 airbox removal is such a PITA.

Also should i back the throttle adjuster on the engine side out or have the adjuster screw all the way in?

Thanks.

Adjust the throttle so it has some freeplay and see if it's still holding the throttle blades open.

If your bike has secondary throttle plates, they're usually open a bit with the bike off. Make sure you have free play in the cable with the bars locked in both directions.

Had Ryan Gill at Pro 6 Dyno tune the 600 today, she's all ready for a shakedown Saturday.

i put on new tires today. Even after doing 10 wheel changes, I suck at them. Lining **** up properly is so bloody tiring and frustrating... changing the rear wheel

Got news from the tuner today, all cylinders were even compression across the board, and leakdown was between 2 and 4 %. New PC5 installed and 2 maps installed. Gp shift also hooked up. A good day all in all.

Ok then there does not seem to be enough cable for the install because there is 0 free play in the throttle. Or I am doing something very wrong? When the adjusters are all the way IN (tightened) I should have the most free play.

If you start your bike, how is the idle? Be ready with the kill switch. If the idle is OK and you turn the bars from full left to right and back, does the idle increase at all?

You should have adjustment at both the throttle bodies and the throttle itself. Yes all the way in is max free-play. Maybe you need to route the cables differently?

The cables are adjusted for maximum free-play and i tried it with the cables straight with no bends or curves and I still come up short when I close up the throttle assembly. I think I will try modifying the throttle casing hardware. Thanks for the help.

Here is a good instructional on it

You can also remove some of the thread on the acceleration cable and adjust the lock nut all the way in
Not sure if this is relevant but I figure I would post it
