What did you do to your Race/Track Bike today - 2014

Saw my zx10 motor in lots of pieces on a bench with no broken parts. So that's a new experience for me lol.

Drove over to 'murica to pick up some fancy italian parts today. It was dead at the border, not even a single other car.

Had three choices of booth so I picked the middle one. Guy asked me if I was smuggling people in the back of my truck lol

Accosato?

Got cheap Arashi ones on the 929. They work great...and a pair is half the price of a single from Honda. I did alot of research before I bought them....and found a fellow racing a 945 in England who has been running two sets of them on his dry and rain wheelsfor 4 yrs with no problems.
Endurance raced them all season and half of last season.......no complaints. And we held them up side by side to a MMR one....identical except the logo. I am guessing the materials are manufacturer could be the same too.

My galfers were maybe a 10% improvement over my oem rotors. My BrakeTech irons are off the charts compared to the galfers. I won't buy anything else.

BrakeTech Axis iron rotors make OEM feel like they're made of wood.

I thought something came loose on my bike just before getting on the throttle the first time out on them. Rattle rattle. Then clued in that it was the floating pins on the discs.

Speaking of killer brakes that I probably don't need, I just ordered some Tygon tubing from Tony for my new Brembo RCS (forgot it needed 6mm) and also to do a rear reservoir delete (8mm tube too). Also ordered a kit of Dzus fasteners since I'm finally sick of screwing the bodywork together.

Brian P has those on his FZR's magnesium wheels....neat design.....with the torque load pushing directly from rotor to carrier, and the button interface simply holding the rotor in place left to right. Once you take a good look at it, it's a surprise the OEM's haven't done this

Looking to get Armour Bodies for my ZX6R this season. Was about to ask what u guys with Ninjas do with regulator/rectifier and headlight wiring, but looks like from doozerdave picture above, rather than splicing its taped up tight and tucked away.

Doesn't the regulator need good airflow though?

Also, any recommendations on painters for the armour bodies? Alternative is to paint it myself of course. Spray painting 101 LOL

Any unused connectors get wrapped in electrical tape. Extra wiring gets tied up and tucked away as neatly as possible.

My R/R got mounted where it's reccomended as per the kit manual. You should be able to find the kit manual for your kawi which will tell you where to move it to if your not leaving it in the stock location.

Atleast get a single colour painted on your new bodywork by a pro (I have no reccomendations), multiple colour adds to the price. Don't rattle can it if you can afford not to. If you want extra colour go to a vynal place and get some cut offs and add colour that way if you want more than one but can't afford to spray it on.

Thanks!

What's a kit manual and where can I find one? I'm sure with the new bodywork I can easily tuck all the wiring away.

It's just now that it's a dedicated track bike and I took off all the expensive lighting if I chose to ride it naked I was curious where to mount everything.

That's where I was thinking of splicing the light wiring and then also splicing and moving the R/R under the tail section. But found that was too much work for me. So I've decided to just buy the bodywork and mount the R/r where it naturally sits.
