What did you do in your garage today..?

Went in, noticed some funny smoke, went out. Might do something tomorrow.

Dropped in a circuit and line for my old buzzbox and new Plamsa cutter. Also installed the argon gas upgrade kit into to the Hobart mig.

Anyone got plans or pics of a multi appliance cart? Like to fit the buzz, fluxcore mig, gas mig and plasma boxes on a single cart.

I've seen many carts with tig stacked over mig and tanks on the back. I havent seen four on one cart. Provably best to orient them to the side so all control panels are accessible in a 2x2 layout. Four high will get tall. Controls oriented front/back will be partially blocked by tanks.

So today was take apart the primary. I didn't know compenstators were a wear-tear part. HD has gone through several revisions of this part, and it an't cheap either, $400 a pop and they only apparently last 10-15k miles. Mine was well overdue and then some. Anyhow I was getting a lot of noise from there the last ride. So I ordered a sprocket to replace the whole compenstator, which helps the wear but it might do other things.

Yup that is my DIY primary locker (I ordered a tool but it didn't show up in time, got it now)

Went for a test ride, pretty smooth, noise's are gone. Compensator must have been a issue for a while but didn't realise it. It runs better overall, shifting is better, clutch works better, but it makes a whine noise at lower speeds. I've heard about this from other users on the internet. It might go away with time or I may try to troubleshoot it with a better tensioner for the chain. Or dump it and go back to the updated compensator. We'll see. At least I've kinda identified a issue.

BTW my Canadian Tire sockets all worked well, no issues. Just needed to buy a breaker bar.

I've seen a honda four into four. But that doesn't look like a six cylinder.
