What did you do in your garage today..?

First valve clearance check for this FZ6... 7,000km late (first check is at 40,000km) but I was putting it off. Took about 2 1/2 hours start to finish, not bad. Just a bunch of things to remove to get to the valve cover since the motor is a bit tucked away between the frame. Manual calls to remove the throttle body, saw absolutely no reason to do that, there is plenty of room with it there. Honestly don't think removing it would make the check much easier at all.

No adjustment needed.

What arrived today to the (northern) garage

Super windy today so only got 20 mins on it, but right now if I could only keep one, the DRZ would be gone. What a unit

A friend bought the trixx. Trim adjustment is marginal at best. Practicing drifting is fun and consequences much less painful than on a bike. That was my first time turtling a jetski. Contrary to what I was told, they are not self righting. Fired up easily after I rolled it back over though.

Ive never been on another jetski with trim controls, but I notice a huge difference between the trim max up and down. Max down its right on plane and up to 50kph in like 2 secs. Max up and standing on the rear wedges it'll do slow standing wheelies (?) no problem.

While it has good range, playing with trim at speed does very little. My main issue is the control. Iirc 5 or 7 steps but a double tap goes all the way to the end. I want to trim of quickly from all the way down to cruise trim and having it go all the way to wheelie trim at speed isnt helpful or fun.

Ah I see what your saying. So far ive been at either extreme or the middle. Ill play around with it tomorrow tho

Trunk is on. So is a wind deflector. As is another ball to hook crap onto. GPS is a little better centred. Horse mats are both inside.

Trunk still needs a rack and a backrest, but one thing at a time.

That looks a lot cleaner - but be careful out on the roads - especially during the day.
When doing my M2 exit I had another guy with a Ducati show up - similar integrated design/tail tidy kit.

When riding behind him out in the sun it was not easy trying to identify which side indicator was turning out..not sure if it was a brightness issue or something else amiss....seemed to blend in even more when the rear brake light was activated as well (worse for visibility)

I have a Motodynamic tail light, and the LED's are very directional. Anything off center, and it's much dimmer. But it was state of the art back at the turn of the century when I got it! Hopefully they've improved their design, but the one for my bike looks the same as it did when I bought it.

Bahaha. I did it again. I repaired a little cosmetic plastic bit on my new Klim helmet couple weeks ago with crazy glue. And glued my fingers to each other and the helmet.
The stitching on my dry weather glove index finger was coming apart. Guess what i did?
