My Dad and his partner had a pattern making shop named "Golden Mile Pattern" on Crockford Blvd back in the late 60's.
Wow you guys are old!! I didn't know Scarborough had this kind of history and thought the Golden Mile was famous for the strip plaza call "Golden Mile" which was a cool place in the 80's.Scarborough's "Golden Mile"
Surrounded by farmland until the 1940s this stretch of Eglinton Avenue from Pharmacy Avenue to Birchmount Road became famous in the 1950s as Scarborough's Golden Mile of Industry" - a hub of large -scale manufacturing and a celebrated symbol of post-war prosperity.
The area's transformation began during World War II when the government of Canada acquired a vast tract of farmland for a munitions plant known as GECo (General Engineering Company). After the war the Township of Scarborough purchased the plant and additional surrounding land for proposed development. Some of the munitions plant buildings became municipal offices a Council Chamber and a public library branch while other buildings were leased or sold to small businesses.
In 1950 ball bearings giant Svenska Kullagerfabriken (SKF) acquired part of the GECo lands and the industrial boom of the Golden Mile began.

BTW the SKF building is still there must be something else now as there is no official sign on the building but the SKF letters are in the stonework.

Well that sucks. What polisher?I’ve never polished a car with a polisher so I decided to ask for one last Christmas (I picked it out, had great reviews, etc).
My 14yr old black suv was the perfect test vehicle in case I screwed something up.
Yesterday was the day, family away for the day and perfect weather. 2hrs prepping the car. Started on the roof with my fancy new dual action polisher (less obvious place if I muck it up) and I did just ok. Onto the hood next and my skill got better and it came out beautiful. Next moved onto the front end and after 5minutes there the polisher died. FFS
Emailed the company and they’re going to send me a new one and hopefully it’ll get here before I need to use that car again so I can finish it up.

What size tire? I would lean towards new tube. Patched tubes get me home but I try not to rely on them at speed.Pinched the effing tube!
Found my patch kit glue had gone hard.
More glue or new tube?
If the replacement craps out I’ll try the PC one. I was originally going to get the PC but the one I had chosen had better reviews in other tests than the PC.
