We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Criminal firearms charges also means no Nexus card , possible issues entering the US . And can be a limiting career move , even volunteering , you also won’t be on a board of directors with a criminal conviction.

Amazing how for a normal person it's a life altering and destroying event, while for criminals it's literally a slap on the wrist and carry on.

There’s a lot of dumb going on there

Wonder if he thought this was a genius move. Hiding in plain site.
'They would never expect this. Who would be dumb enough to bring illegal guns to a legal range.'

Also wonder if he has done this before and just hasn't been caught until now

Its almost Florida Man tier. Dont you need a gun license to shoot your own guns at a range?

Yes you do. Good point, they should have asked for this before letting him even step onto the range.

Why do I picture a guy that loves clubs and bottle service , maybe a gold chain or three and an eastern accent

Think you just described the Schmenge brothers.

In the UK steel shot is being mandated in many situations, there versions of upland birds , grouse woodcock and pheasants . Europe will follow apparently soon. We will get there eventually.
Our clays courses are not near a stream or pond or agriculture , and at present we are considered a very low risk , but the field has been in use for almost 100 yrs . Bet there is 20,000 lbs out there . It is bermed 30 ft high around three sides over about 10 acres so well contained.

One inconvenience for many shooters is a lot of guns are not “ steel shot proofed” . Old ones especially, pre 1990s . You can get a gun checked , rechoked and proofed , but you better love the gun , it’s about 3k .

Anyone have an opinion on Franchi? I looking at both the Savage 110 and the Franchi Momentum.

I own a Franchi shotgun , it’s been great and has about 25,000 shells through it since I got it . It was actually made in Italy in 1966 , nice gun , can still get parts but never needed any . I say the brand is decent value

My dad has a 20ga o/u franchi (maybe a veloce?). Nice looking gun. Breaks down easily. He thought it was hilarious when he told me it had lifters when it actually had ejectors and it launched shells at me. I havent shot it much. Neither has he honestly, he was getting older and wanted it so he bought it.

A few friends have the Franchi Instinct o/u and it’s a really nice gun overall. Not cheap but also not too expensive and IMO a good product.

Really depends on what that gun is going to be asked to do. My wingshooting guns may fire 12-15 rounds , 4 or 5 times a year. Same with when i hunted ducks, 10-15 shots 2-3 times a year. It would have to be a really bad gun to not stand up.
My trap and skeet guns can see 75-100 shells once a week, 50 weeks a year. 5,000 shells a year tests a gun.

I'm not proud of the neglect but my cooey ( canadian winchester) .22 bolt killed 22,000,000 beer and pop cans over a 5yr period with absolutely no service. 30 yrs later I sold it to a buddy to continue to abuse at his cottage. I bought it from the Outdoor Store on DixieRd for $129.00 . Sold it for $150 cash.
