Still no real idea of the story arc and too much familial melodrama.
Give it a pass...both viewers and critics and I agree

Like many series, it suffered from Increased Jeopardy Syndrome. It wasn't bad, but not as good as previous.
I'm thinking the pandemic really impacted a lot of content. Probably with the increase cost of saftey mesaures and budgets slashed, and other similar workarounds, caused content around this time to suffer and we see this as the results. Noticed this from a few series.

Partner is abusing us with insisting on seeing what happens in Invasion.

Rings Episode 8 was terrific and things clearer but they are only in production now for the Season 2 of 5 so a very long wait :(
Nory is too cute - those eyes are something else.

Partner is a Tolkein addict and she approves of how the arc of the story is going and they certainly have 5 seasons worth if they can hold the current quality tho I heard they next season is not shot in NZ but UK at request of the Tolkein

This tho ....
One of the best books I've ever read and clearly autobiographical. We'll see if Apple can pull it off. 🍿

watching 1883...finally! a good tv show!
Got me hooked from the first episode

Shantaram - 3 Episodes out at once and I'm content - well cast. Of course events compressed but ....
Not sure how the appeal will be without having read the book.

I've been watching the seasonally appropriate "The Midnight Club" on Netflix. The premise is a group of late teens/young adults who are all, for a lack of a better word, dying in a hospice. It has people telling ghost stories, premonitions, ghost sightings, cults... All-in-all I'm very much enjoying it. Set in the '90s, which is when the novel it was based on was written, and the soundtrack makes it even better.

Squeeze and I are about 4 season deep into Greenleaf. It's ok but not spectacular.
After a few episodes I bailed on Damnation and Kleo (all on netflix)

Also watching this and enjoying it.
Same director as Midnight Mass, Haunting of Bly Manor etc.

We're halfway into the final episode. Around the ep5/6 mark I was ready for it to be over but the midnight stories actually get better imo in the final few episodes.

I like that they're reusing the same actors who are telling the stories, as the characters in the stories.
