Just watched the first three of eight episodes of MotoGP Unlimited on Amazon Prime, and really enjoyed it. It covers the 2021 season, which definitely had a lot of drama. Cameras follow the riders and teams at the track and at home, though the series is structured around the championship.

The new crop of young riders are mostly very likeable, so they're easy to spend time with. I would say you don't need to be a race fan to enjoy it, but I'm heavily biased, so I'd be curious to hear from anyone who doesn't follow the racing but watches the show...

I finished S4 of F1: Drvie to Survive and now in the middle of MotoGP:Unlimited.
I see how these two shows are totally different - first of all MotoGP doesn't have an anchor/host(bad IMO) and second - MotoGP is predominantly a Spanish language show to fully English F1... I totally loved this as I love practicing my Spanish and this show wouldn't even eat into my entertainment time allowance - goes to learning time :)
I am casual as it goes to MotoGP (only knew VR46 lol) and just realized that majority of riders are from Spain, and from different parts of Spain so their spanish accents are very different - some of them def need spanish dubs. I found english dubs are bland and shortened too (no slang/cursing translated).
The only english speaking Jack Miller probably the one who will benefit greatly from this series outside of Europe, has a character too :)
I am not sure if this show can get the same following as F1 here in North America.. We will see.
 
As mentioned in the MotoGP Unlimited thread, make sure you watch the subbed version. The dubbed version has met with very poor reviews
 
I can watch hours of MotoGP but hardly a lap of F1. With bike racing of all kinds you can see the rider, where as auto racing is more like watching billboards circle a track.

Same here. I used to watch a little bit of F1 in the '80s when it was a lot different.

However, I will say that the Netflix F1 doc somehow managed to make modern F1 look exciting, so kudos to those editors!

There is a technical aspect to F1. Hewlett Packard provides computing power to Mercedes and I was watching HPE presentations of new equipment in F1 server room - same racks, same SAN's, similar Blade enclosure we have in my Data centers.. Plus each F1 car has x10 most powerful computers on board to collect and send telemetry - fascinating stuff,, but it's just my geeky part talking :)

I definitely would agree that MotoGP is wayyyy more dangerous and exciting on human part - just look at those scars Marc has😲

Or, the Isle of Mann racers… watch some of the documentaries on those guys and their ”extended” hospital stays (I.e. 6 months or more)
 
I Am Georgina - Docu Series on Netflix

Don't know much of soccer but I just finished watching Docu on Netflix about Georgina - wife of some sort of famous Portuguese (?) player. It's in Spanish as she is from Spain and her husband speaks both languages (probably dubbed Ingles version avail) and she is literally a SUPERSTAR in Europe! She has no any other skills or achievements but just being a wife of el más famoso futbolista del mundo...
I can only imagine how crazy popular soccer in Europe and Latin America and everywhere else... Except for USA and Canada where only women play LOL

Also getting into Star Trek Discovery S4. I'm not sure why I am even watching this, it's just so bad. The main set of the bridge looks like a ride from Disney World with the fake fire explosions and debris coming from nowhere. The writing is still very superficial with no time spent building up proper connections to why or whom is important, they are just there with no weight just flashy action and effects all over the place. Maybe I am just to old for this show.

Dirty John on NF. I always like watching people get their comeuppance. However the squeeky blond from Ozark kind of grates on me.

Yeah I collected the comics back in the day. I just remember the cool costume not much else though.
From what I've seen of the TV show has me a little skeptical but I will check it out.

No super powers, martial artist and a treatise on mental health, looking back on it now.

its been going downhill after ds9 imo
discovery was weird...picard might be ok....I was watching the lower decks which was great, lots of inside jokes etc, need to pick it back up again

Well I got to the second or third episode and bailed... anymore and pure mind numbness might have set in.
Picard I will give a chance but I don't have good expectations.
