Transsexual the next Miss Canada?

The Olympics use birth gender as a rule for eligibility whether the athlete qualifies as male or female. You have to draw the line somewhere.

Self-correction: The Olympics use DNA/chromosome testing to determine gender or else men can lop off their penises, take hormones for breasts and annihilate the female competition in strength and speed events.
That's a pretty good topic. I'm not sure that the olympics could be used as a good example because in that case, gender and skill or strength are related. But I think it would be harder to prove that for a beauty pageant.

I can't see them creating a stink about it 'cause it's a pretty big milestone for the LGBT community.

Anyways, I hope she/he makes it in - it's a good look for Canada.

That's a good point, but like knowledge pointed out, you could make the argument that those regulations are in place to keep the level of competition relatively even.

If the pagent makes an effort in the future to 'restrict' the participants to those who were born female then you're getting into the whole "what's the legal definition of a woman" kind of thing. That's one slippery *** slope.

Yep. They should just let any man try and compete. He'll get voted off the island pretty fast so it's a self-correcting problem.

Not if the panel is full of liberal agenda pushers.

Ya but ugly is ugly haha. Unless they've started a trend where they've begun voting ironically, I don't see this being a problem.

Holy ****, for a second I thought we were living in Thailand

Miss Canada doesn't have a rule that you need to be born female? I suppose when the pageant was first started that wasn't an issue but they should revise their requirements on who is eligible.

I could have sworn when I was looking into applying to a few different pageants there was a rule saying you were born female, certain age, and some wanted to you not have children.

I'm not against a tranny doing a pageant, I just didn't think it was in the rules, unless they changed them.

I guess I am the only one who thinks all the power to her. She looks amazing. And frankly as a bisexual even if she wasnt anatomically correct I'd still do her. Best of both worlds.

wonder what her dad looks like cause that's what your getting in 20 yrs...

We didn't say we wanted to marry her, we said we wanted to play hide the salami (and get a few sammiches outta the deal).

hell no!

My guess is in her male incarnation she wasn't the best of anything, if ya know what I mean.

Hard to say though. Having no idea of her life before or after her transformation. There have been cases of men being complete womanizers only to find that they were focusing so much on being a good lover and having multiple lovers to hide from thinking about how they were unhappy with who they were only to find years later in gender reasignment surgery.
