Before and after. Did my intro to track at tmp then I went to mosport for a private track day today for $20. I can officially say "my name is Bryan and I'm addicted to track".

Say goodbye to all your money lol

Omg when I got home today I immediately started looking for a canopy, genny, trailer and track bike/fairings. It's ok tho at least I'll stop wasting my money on clubs and bars as ill have to wake up early for TDs

Saturday was my first track day, while I'm sure I was one of the slowest on the track, and have much to learn, I too have the bug...

Just took a while to shake the fear of the speed and leaning my bike over.

Lots of people came over to see how I was doing, and words of advice and encouragement. One of the best things was from Corsara "Stop looking behind you!"

I was exactly in the same boat as you about a year ago :) Only difference is that I had my first trackday on a Thursday, so I had the pleasure of having a business day (Friday) the following day---that's when I called State Farm and cancelled my insurance :) My bike hasn't seen a street outside my neighborhood ever since, and I have zero regrets :)

Welcome to the club! And by the way---it's expensive, but not at all the most expensive, there are many fun things to eat your money and not give you even half the satisfaction.

ModularGT---I have you on video, you made great improvements throughout the day (e.g. stopped worrying if you're blocking somebody and constantly looking back) :) Glad you liked the track, hope to see you July 4th. I'll post a video later.

Daisoman---I have you in a couple of photos, but you were not riding yet--I was too beaten up to wait for you guys to spice it up.

Thanks bro. Met lots of nice people but I was crazy confused and lost at first. Saved those photos cuz my fiancé took the worst pics.

That's one problem you'll notice---lack of photos :) Btw, you're lucky you have a fiancee now, cause once you get married, good luck getting her to come with you to the track...ask me how I know ;)

So I'm guessing you got your knee down. Wasn't that hard was it?

How did you like the intro to track. I'm still thinking I could just go right into a track day without it?

Glad you had fun. I'm excited

Here's a video with some interesting moments (green group, June 22). Couple of things come to mind:

- My lines were all over the place, but it was crowded and I don't know how to act around crowds and how close to stay.
- Couple of people really crossed up, and one guy not hanging off the seat at all. I'm not an expert (hence in the beginner's group), but that much I know: you're doing it wrong.
- Had problems all day with upshifting, was adjusting the shifter rod between most sessions trying to find comfortable position. Normally I upshift without the clutch, but I was struggling so much that I ended up using it often as I couldn't get a good feel with my new boots when it's finally in next gear up.
- Really liked how they ran the day, passing allowed everywhere even in green, but must exercise more caution around people with an X on the back.
- Sorry if I spooked someone, I don't belong to an upper level, especially when I was allowed to overtake in green.

I only watched the first minute but at 55 seconds you close up on a rider in 3 (I think) faster than you think. You pinch the brakes and the bars dink to the right. That's gonna be a front end tuck one of these days. And a habit i would try to get out of now.

Most definitely try to do the intro. If u can't wait til August try to go with a very experienced track rider, not someone in the green group like me. I still go lots to learn.

The little body position exercise with the stationary bike was the biggest help for me to knee drag. My instructor told me my lean was good and I just had to fully extend my legs. You really got to emphasize the leg out and to (excuse my language) keep your a**hole off the seat. Voila one lap later, touch down.

Mind you out of 6 people, only me and some other guy were knee dragging. But we all had fun.

Lol at least she tried. I could tell she wasn't into it, but that's fine. Now I'm pushing my riding friends harder then even to try TD as I'm desperately looking for a track buddy. Don't get me wrong ill ride solo but splitting cost and the company sure would help.

Wow guess I'm lucky, my wife insits on going and has been to every race/track day since I was 17.

Mine too. She's my pit manager, stands, warmers; tools, tires, fuel.
