Some of you know that this is my bikes maiden voyage after i build it from a box of parts. It was an absolute joy to ride.

folks that are running 600 at TMP, do you run through the in-field in 3rd or 2nd gear?

Thanks, good to know I'm not doing it wrong. I'm down 1 in the front. As you know, the 03/04 redlines at 12k, tried -1/+3 once and it was a bit unrideable (maybe my skills..). Wheelies too easy, also needed an upshift before the little chicane infield...

Welcome to my world. I upshift between 5 and 6, then down for 6, then up again exiting 6, then down again for 7.

I am down 1 up 2, but we are talking about a twin with a 9000-rpm redline. Might try taller gearing someday, but I think I would still be shifting...and maybe I wouldn't get the cool little power wheelies exiting 6 anymore.
