TMP June 22/23 thread

I'm interested in doing the Intro to Track in August. For those who have done the course, are they very strict on prepping the motorcycle? From what I gather on the website I can take my street bike and tape up all mirrors/speedo and replace coolant with distilled water and I should be good to go. Is that right?
This will be my first track day on bike, but I know Cayuga well from my car days.

That is right, as long as your other controls work (brakes, tires are good, self-closing throttle, etc.). It's all here: http://www.torontomotorsportspark.com/images/File/Motorcycle-Tech-(2011)-OW.pdf

But this thread is about June 22/23.

i wanna do sunday, looking to car/trailer pool in the gta

I pass near Burlington if you are close to there.

Yep I'm ok just sore shoulder and side , crashed during open sprint race, fixed er up and wet out for superbike race and placed 6th I'm happy with that started dead last qualifying next round will be better starting at the front .
Bikes not too bad, needs rearset left side bar end that's it. Some scratches and few cracks. my sliders took 90%of the hit
Stop hanging out with me, you getting the bad habits

I'm heading on 23rd for the Surviving the Streets course. Riding from North Etobicoke if anyone wants to go as a group.

As if right now it's 80% chance of rain. Boo

It's actually a very good thing they predict rain 4 days in advance! I'd bet money it's not gonna rain, forecast was always wrong unless it was issued the day before.

No. You might get rained out, but they run rain or shine.

That's for regular trackdays. I've heard about occasions when TMP rescheduled their Intro to Track when it rains (I'm assuming daisoman is taking the Intro, not the day).

Assumption correct. I am taking the intro class. If they still run it I'm gonna go. I'm not gonna waste my $200. Ill just take it extra slow. My tires don't have the best reviews on wet surfaces.

Sometimes they will have a rain date. They did when I did mine last year. The whole track was flooded.

its the risk you take with pre-booking

that's already pretty close to tmp so probably more hassle than its worth with unloading and loading stuff. I'll look for you when I'm there.

nevermind...looks like i wont have the car for sunday. Looking for a ride from Markham, will split travel cost, and I can provide a trailer to haul two bikes.
