this is similar to the dude who was selling stolen car parts he retrieved a few years back from yorkdale mall.

anyone know what happened there?

that was the acura one with the guy stealing some dudes bumper at the mall...if so, yeah, that guy got called out and had the same fate that is now being handed to mr tamil.

they also posted pics of the sisters place on the 4chan site (some sort or red flad deals thing, correct me if i'm wrong)...i wonder if mr sham is losing sleep on posting this video since there could be repercussions...

apparently family business is getting hammered with the RFD stuff too...oooo...they just play nasty on there...

RFD stuff is down. Couldn't find it in public archives either. Need to use php injection to access the thread (nothing deleted is actually deleted lol). I'm not sure why RFD took it down though.

TSX is a tarted up Accord.

God damned 4CHan is blocked at work : -(

no one has come out and suggested this, but maybe the cop the scammer called was in on it and figured out things were ****ed when he saw the dash cam and bailed on his buddy (though didn't give him a ticket)

It hasn't been suggested because it's completely unfounded and makes absolutely no sense.

This is an accident. Guy was in an old Dodge Minivan, he was way back going through a yellow light. He braked, skidded and tapped me. From what I can see, his tire and brakes looked old.

No harm was done so no need to do anything. Beside I drive and old Acura 99TL. Car has dings from mall and GO station parking lots. These new cars with all these sensors in the bumpers scare me. One little tap and car electronics could go crazy. My TL is basic and I like it that way.

Your situation is different from this situation. You didn't purposely have him hit you from behind did you? Your situation is honest to god an accident but this situation was a setup.

But yes, KARMA is a b!tch.

no? go take a look at the good bad and ugly thread, you'll see plenty of dirty cops listed there. then there's our favourite cop dennis who appears to have been working with tow truck companies to screw people over with stunting charges. take off the turbo shades, the police are no angels, they have good cops and bad cops, sadly the bad ones are protected unless public outcry is made.

Perhaps, but it's rather unlikely that a particular cop would show up and any specific incident, even if he was on-shift.

Ah makes perfect sense!

carry on.

I also don't think this particular scammer was thinking that far ahead. If he was, he ought to have seen the camera and immediately realized that no good could come of this. The cop probably just saw a minor incident with no more than minor scrapes, not worth dealing with nor putting a whole lot of investigative effort into. There was no way for that cop to know at the time that this situation would blow up like this.

"He said / she said" is an everyday occurrence with minor collisions like this. I got tapped gently from behind a few years ago and the guy behind was trying to blame his ABS brakes (it was raining at the time). How does *that* change anything - it certainly isn't MY fault for stopping because there was backed up traffic in front of me. Whether it was operator error, or lack of maintenance which is still the operator's responsibility, doesn't change a thing ... (Damage was so minor that it wasn't even worth my time to bother fixing it)

That's pretty much my take on it too.

Now if the guy had noticed and had the presence of mind to tell the cops that the car's brake lights weren't working, the cop probably would have shown a little more interest and then things could have gone downhill pretty fast from there.

That should have changed, the moment that the cop saw the other driver's record. It would have at least warranted a look at the video and a check of the other vehicle's mandatory lighting. Maybe a citation for "backing on highway" (2 points). There are just too many red flags, here, for the incident to be ignored.

I had some daddy's little girl smack into the back of my pickup, a couple of years back, and was going to let it slide but wanted her insurance information, in case I couldn't just pop my bumper back out. She got on the phone with daddy, who told her not to give out her insurance information as is required by law. The net result was the same, except that she had to sit in her vehicle for an hour and a half, to wait for a cop to show. I don't like when people dick me around.

"Other driver not co-operating" makes a collision reportable no matter how small the damage.

i wonder, whats the going rate for falus whiplash from a rearender? maybe he was trying to drum up business?

The "going rate" is months of physiotherapy, that you don't really take, splitting the money between yourself and the physiotherapist.
