Mine had a spongy rear brake (common it seems) but not the front ... bleeding fixed it and that's likely what you need on the front to get rid of the air. Easy to do really - YOUTUBE it.
Thanks! I ended up buying the tool a few months ago at PA on sale anyway.Mine had a spongy rear brake (common it seems) but not the front ... bleeding fixed it and that's likely what you need on the front to get rid of the air. Easy to do really - YOUTUBE it.
I'll have to find some time as I want to learn, but need to see it done first.Pickering. Now you have an excuse to ride.

I assume the bike is safe to ride right now, just won't stop as quickly as it should?
I was so excited to go for a ride I forgot to put the plate on yesterday...thankfully no Peel Region police was about (even though I passed right by their Dundas / Erin Mills building.
That is a full 5-10min ride from my place. I will be in touch for sure.If you meant no time to get out to Pickering, you know where I am. Come over anytime it isn't raining so we can do it on the driveway where there's more room.
When I find the time...I'll do that work on the bike.So where are the updated photos after a decent wash and detail?
Are the stock bars on it now or are those the renthals (they look high)?
If the bars are comfortable don't futz with them. When I find the time...I'll do that work on the bike.
For now I installed my plate as I didn't want to push my luck 2x riding without a plate on the bike, or registration, or insurance docs on me.
@LBV is correct. Those are the stock bars. I'll swap them over when time allows on a rainy day. Doesn't look overly complex, but I also don't want to rush it.
EDIT: Ugh...looks like I need to drill into the new bars to mount things back on. May hold off on that until end of season to get it done with no pressure / rush.
Where's the top box
They're not so comfortable. I find them sitting too high up. But I still have only 10km on the bike for now...so I'll see this weekend. If the bars are comfortable don't futz with them.

That poor bike can't handle much more rejection. It's had three owners in the last month.
Risers should also be much easier to install than bars (assuming cables are long enough). Although IIRC, he does have a spare set of bars in his parts bin so bars may a cheaper option for him.Rox risers will bring them back.
No drilling needed pull the pins out of the controls they are just there to make it easy for the factory guys to get them all the same. When I find the time...I'll do that work on the bike.
