These Conservatives

And yet he's been elected three times. (don't ask me, I can't explain it either)

Been down this road before. He knew EXACTYLY what the journalist meant but didn't like the question so he treats the guy like dick. Who's the real dick in that video? (Hint he's eating an apple)
When you ask loaded questions you should not expect nor receive a genuine response.

Whether Pierre (or anyone) being asked these nonsensical and imo unethical 'journalistic' queries understood the context of the question is irrelevant.

If you pander to certain people and someone calls you on it, is that a "loaded" question?

if you`re going to call someone out, being vague is the quickest way to undermining your entire attempt.

did you note the responses from the journalist? seems quite ill prepared for someone who is paid to know.

what's the saying; don't ask the question if you aren't prepared for the response?

So…this is textbook left journalism. Lead a loaded question with an accusation. Mr leftie leads into a loaded question, PP asks a him to give an an example of the accusation. Stumble, stumble, stumble, drop the accusation and come back with a a different question.

Rinse repeat. When a finally comes, he gets a clear answer, not “We’re here for all Canadians”.

Watch part 2, then rematch it pretending JT was in PPs place. Do you think JT connects with working Canadians like that?

Remember when Harper promised us a 3E senate and then stacked it with people he picked. Politicians!!
Harper did lose his way on some things, but mostly on the academic stuff. The things people need from govt were tended to.

Harper underestimated JTs charisma and despite being a historian, failed to use history’s teachings that charismatic leaders are Inherently overconfident, eccentric, attention-seeking, and prone to controlling and manipulative behaviors.

Being racist didn't help him much either.

Who did you view his "old stock Canadian" remark

he tried to make it harder for First Nations people to vote?

Which politician/party has made anything easier for our indigenous people? I'll wait. Take Skippy for example. He promised them potable water. 8 years and 100+ reservation visit selfies later.......crickets.

Hell, you could expand that to include indigenous leaders and your list would still be incredibly hard to populate (assuming you mean improving the lives of the average person not those in golden thrones).

I know a few die-hards that seem to treat their political choice like their religion. They were born into a particular religion and that's it for life. I question how many people would you let die before you turned away from your party. Or religion for that matter.

A Liberal neighbour admits the party is going through rough times from a leadership point of view but still supports the party.

I consider the hundreds of million JT has committed to aboriginal causes, none of which will make a change and ask myself how many people would live and prosper if the money was spent on education or health care?

I also try to read between the lines of PP's anti JT rants and wonder if his races to progress will have negative, irreversible consequences.

My greatest fear is the radicalization of White Anglo Saxon Protestants due to housing, food and energy issues.

The day of truth and reconciliation costs us over $100 million in lost civil service wages and will every year. Natives don't get the day off.

How about cancelling the spa day for the civil servants and using the saved funds for the water issues?

The water issue isn't simple but $100 Million a year would help. Develop a self contained unit only requiring FIFO service every few months. Sell or donate the technologies to third world countries with similar problems.

Go ahead and build a $8 million dollar barn for the capital region but make the design of some use to farmers across the country, helping them to save energy and maintenance costs without breaking the bank. All instead of building a cozy man cave for the civil servants.

One has to realize that the reservations are, in essence, countries within a country. They have two sets of laws, Canada's and their own. I don't know where Canada's laws, education systems and election procedures are followed.

In some ways their systems are better in that, as I understand it, the residents of the reservations can own the house but not the land. What would happen to housing costs if that was made nation wide, everywhere? Knock a million dollars off the price off the average home.

I would have no problem with it if I could remotely trust ANY government to not screw up the system.
