The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Not a full bike but a fresh RS660 crate motor

Wonder what it'll go for

Excuse my ignorance .

Why does GC have an Aprilia motor for sale?
Who on the GC payroll was riding an RS660 that needed a motor??

My money is on bungled import

Sometimes emission testing, sometimes improper paperwork on import, sometimes some random government research dumpster fire.
Makes sense now. Didn't think of that one.

If there's paperwork, this might be a nice project for $1000:

Seller's Description

Got a ZX 750 R that I’m looking to trade for a two-stroke dirtbike or a skidoo. it runs and everything it just doesn’t wanna stay running, and it high revs I don’t have the time really to mess with it. So I’m looking to try and trade it for a two stroke dirt bike

Says 1986 suzuki GS $1000 with ownership but looks more like 1975-79 750cc

It's a '79 GS850G... I think. GS's lost the kick start in '80
The carbs are a giveaway, most "G"s have CV carbs
some nice parts but a oddball bike

NOPE... it's a '78 GS750... ya still don't want it

Motorcycle lift $500 Thorold Doesn’t say what brand

View attachment 66055

Looks identical to the 1000 lb Princess Auto lift I picked up a couple years ago on heavy discount. Same chintzy wheel chock. If you're patient, they usually go on sale once or twice a year.

Currently on sale for $599. Item# 8880239
FWIW, I'm very happy with mine. The only dodgy bit is the above mentioned chock, which isn't suitable for much more than a trials bike. I use my heavier duty PA chock or a triple-tree / headlift stand instead. Otherwise, it's very happy hoisting 500+ lbs of bike, stands and tools I haven't tested it with anything porkier, though I'm sure it's good to the rated weight. The wheels are hard plastic, so it may be a pain to shift if you have a rough garage floor...
