The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Lovely bike but even with a low seat it's 33.5" vs mycb500x which mimico bought at 31.9
The CB500x was fine middle weight except no fun at all at the thottle.
Vstrom 650 is fun, do all machine but likely too top heavy even with lowering and low seat.
VFR800 6th Gen okay for seat 31.7", lots of fun.
GP Bikes has one - factory bags a bonus.

solo seat set up and might be third party

This is what I'm after and might fit. No problem with fun factor. Maybe tricky for touring.

There are other FZ6 for far less.

Andrew who you may have met has a 2008 with 60k km and has had zero issue with his but you do have to be willing to wind it out for the fun to arrive. Hmmm just noticed - same horsepower as my CBF1000 - That's also a candidate. Adjustable seat and much fun at the throttle.

Dealership makes his life easier if they give him a decent trade value (which they probably wouldn't).

Was a good series of events. Now cancelled. I like red bikes - even from the early days.
Loved that Superhawk. Rode it all year around in St Catherines at uni.

and my keep up with kid CBF1000 which would fit mimico.

Think I’ll take the bike to work next week and pop by GP. Thanks @MacDoc.

Of course I except to lose my shirt on the trade in…but only one way to find out.

Still have a red SuperHawk for riding around in St. Catharines.

Looks like one I saw at Famous Sam's a few weeks ago.

Buddy sent me a pic with an FZ6 with luggage.

That's encouraging if I can still get it for a 2007. Would only get top case.
Not sure what I would do with the power tho as police enforcement is very strict and the CB300F has no no issues staying legal 😏
The FZ6 would be 3x the power

If the 300 is good why the move up?

I'd like a bit of a thrill in the throttle and love inline 4s. It also has no center stand and is just a bit physically small tho I love the 150kg weight.
I'm thinking of a Vstrom 250 - move up in years and get some off pavement capability back.

It;s more than adequate for the riding I do and like the slightly more upright seating. Missed one for $3900 for a 2022 locally.
It's same power as the CB300 but I can do the forest roads and actually stand up....the ergos on the CB300 are just wrong and street tires awfully squirmy off pavement.
There are a number of bikes available in Australia that are brought to North America but up here in FNQ there are few street models and mostly true dual sport available.
I'd still like a Honda 400 Vtech new version but $7k used not on.

Yknow this might work for you

nother target bike for you

awfully good deal ...be careful of liens. 31.5 seat height is fine and triple 660 will be bags of fun. 80HP
I like detuned track bikes and this is only 186 kg - what fun.

From what I remember of the FZ6, it was a timid kitten from 0 to 7000 RPM, and a big cat from 7000 RPM up.
Upshift at 7k if you wanna go slow and it'll never take off on you.

Not worried about it "taking off" ....it's more of a financial concern of the consequence.
Both my ST1100 here and the CBF1000 in Canada were temptations ....I clearly recall sitting on 150 kph on the ST1100 in a perfectly calm bubble of air on the remoter roads on the tablelands.
That would cost me $1,740+ and a six month suspension these days.
At least riding in Ontario at the time everyone drove fast and there was always PA to let the horses loose without consequence.
No point in having that capacity and not making use of it.

Two reasons for moving off the CB300F.

Something with a bit more thrill on the throttle....not 3 x tho.
or
Something with some light off pavement capability.

Hmmmm...price is right and the feature set.

I took the 310 out for a day and enjoyed it. Would be a good move but depends on the CB300 selling. 🍿

Always liked those. Neighbour at the cottage has one and she loves it.

Local Barrie deal.
It is the base model with some added accessories. NO Cruise control and NO centre stand. But still a good deal.
Recent price drop.

Under $10K for a 2021 VStrom 1050 with 6K kms

Fly out with your gear.... pick up that V-strom and ride home..... Sounds pretty sweet if you are in the market.

Might as well do the rest of the east coast and then ride home.

Get a cheap bag off of Amazon for some gear and strap it to the back of the bike.
